Life is Living is also about the future . We like to use our imaginations to transform our future by reconciling with the past and present. Self defense is about using every tool we have for the liberation of our communities, for the elevation of our consciousness, for the betterment of our city. The masters tools can not only be in the so called masters hands, we must learn to use them as defense and as offense. We must counter assaults on our communities with everything we have. That means we use art, technology, knowledge, ballots, petitions, presence and most of all Love, to affirm the ethos of Oakland and the #blackpantherparty #allpowertothepeople #lifeisliving #wakanda #votingisselfdefense

@hellajuneteenth did not disappoint!
West Oakland was the spot and people came from everywhere to celebrate together. Nothing like seeing the community near and far come together to have fun and show love for the culture. This is what it’s all about. Happy Juneteenth! 🎉✊🏾

Freedom was the down payment.
Ownership is the goal. 🖤💚❤️

On June 19, @wrthapp × @tribaja.co are bringing founders, artists, brands, collectors, and operators together for a day centered on one thing:

Economic participation.

Not networking theater.

Real people.
Real products.
Real commerce.

Inside the experience:

🎨 10+ artists showcasing their work
🛍️ A marketplace featuring WRTH Brands + Businesses
🤝🏽Charity auctions benefiting Playse 14 and The Lucy Project Foundation
📲 Live demonstrations showing how physical assets can be authenticated, verified, and transacted in new ways

The strongest communities don’t just create culture.

They create opportunity.

See you June 19. ✊🏾 at @collectorsclubx

Slide With Me ✈️ Ep 2: The National Adaptation Forum (NAF) | Pittsburg, Pennsylvania

The NAF conference brings together climate adaptation professionals for peer‑to‑peer learning via dynamic presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities

HPG presented in two sessions: Equity Beyond the Document with Phoenix Armenta (@cal.lci ) and A Regional Model for Sea Level Rise with (@greenbeltalliance OAAC partners).

We learned about cooling techniques such as cooling murals to address the heat island effect of an area.

Visiting the Hill District was a treat. We slid on the bus because we didn't have time to take their subway.

Knicks in 5.

I was walking through Brooklyn, taking in the walls of the Bushwick Collective, when this piece stopped me in my tracks.

Not because it moved.
Because it already felt like it was.

The way @menas24711 captured the energy, focus, and presence of these New York Knicks players felt larger than the wall itself. It felt like a moment frozen in motion.

As an augmented reality artist, I'm always asking myself a simple question:

What happens when the story continues beyond the paint?

So I pulled out the Black Terminus AR.T app and added another layer to the mural—subtle movement, animation, and digital life that builds on the foundation Menas created.

Not to change the work.
To have a conversation with it.

That's what I love most about public art. One artist puts something into the world. Another artist encounters it. A new story emerges.

From spray paint to augmented reality.

Thank you, @menas24711, for the inspiration.
