quiet moments in my malibu cottage kitchen 💙

a clipping from the garden,
a warm stove,
a little bit of time…

and eventually,
a cake meant for someone, somewhere

Dreaming of this day in Santa Ynez. Guests sipping on @braveandmaiden wines, surrounded by vineyards and sweeping views of the valley’s rolling hills. Back in SY this weekend with our friends @zachanddune for another unforgettable celebration.

it begins with the smallest things…
a blossom, a breeze, a quiet morning in the garden

and somehow…
it finds its way into everything I make 💙

this is my favorite place
where I wake before the sun,
listen to the birds,
and let the beauty of it all become an idea
that follows me into the kitchen

My FAVORITE decor of all time… I love this cake! @carlatessar

🍑 🩷 🌼 🌱 💛

This is a 3 layered organic rosemary lavender olive oil cake.

The Bluem candles are 100% organic beeswax, hand-dipped with petals and greens from my garden.

This was my first time piping buttercream roses and I have to say, it was frustrating in the beginning bc I couldn’t work the flower pin, but I figured out my own hack! This may be something new that I offer as cake decor for the future!

The Kitchen of The Malibu Darlings,
hosted by yours truly: THE GIRL WITH THE CAKES!

As their best friend for their ENTIRE lives, I like to give my pups the cleanest variety of healthy eats. Each meal is different and I’m always incorporating various ingredients thanks to @foreverdogbook and all the things I’m continuing to learn. They deserve the best and every day is a day to celebrate so today they get luxury treatment.

Directions:

In a large saucepan, heat meat on low temp until the preferred state. (I do medium raw.) Let cool.

Add spices, asparagus, bone broth, olive oil, honey and egg. Top with broccoli sprouts.

Feed at your own risk! Pups may be begging for seconds. 😉

222 🤍

Lately, I’ve been asking my guides, my angels, God, basically my whole unseen team, to lead me through each day.

Not in loud ways.
Not in dramatic signs.
But gently and with love and intention.

I ask to be shown (through my dreams,)
-what I need to let go of
-where I hold fear
-what I need to learn
-what to do next to become closer to my highest self
-where I can and am ready to expand

And every time I wake from deep sleep, I write everything down.

The symbols.
The feelings.
The people who appear.

Then I sit with it.

I don’t scroll.
I don’t distract.
I listen to my heart and get still.

It’s powerful what gets revealed when you’re willing to look at yourself honestly.

222 reminds me:
✨ I am supported.
✨ I am guided.
✨ I am not walking alone.
✨ Everything is aligning in divine timing.

Through all the lessons I keep continuing to experience, I am also reminded to stay strong in my boundaries, to not people please for fear of missing out or lack, and to get still before rushing to make decisions. Basically, I must SLOW down.

All the answers and all the blessings come when were silent and still enough to allow them into our hearts.

Oh and I made a wish on that cute little cake I made! 🌱 🫛 💚
