📢 We are thrilled to announce our international guest speaker for the Axis Programme pilot cohort: Mark Pollard, Strategy Friend .

Mark is a strategist from Australia 🇦🇺, based in Kenya 🇰🇪 and currently touring the world for his programme of Sweathead workshops. He's worked with brands and businesses across the world, and he's bringing that global perspective directly to our participants in the North West province of South Africa 🇿🇦 . Mark will deliver a short module on how rural and peri-urban based entrepreneurs and leaders can stand out in an ever globalising environment.

🚀 This is a big deal for us because part of what we're building with the Axis Programme is a bridge: from where you are now to bigger rooms, bigger markets, and bigger opportunities.

Join us on:
🗓️ 15 & 16 October 2026 from 10am to 3pm daily
📍Mahikeng, North West province 🇿🇦

Thank you so much to BUSINESS TIME with the amazing Mmamutle Moche on Mahikeng FM for having us on to share more about The Axis Programme and more work from Reconnected Group Africa.

The 1 hour conversation on the popular community radio station included various insights on the potential growth areas for the north west province economy as well as tips on how rural based entrepreneurs can build confidence in the business world.

We appreciate the support and platform from the Mahikeng FM team. As a community radio station, their platform is a direct link to the local listenership. We also support their initiatives to promote local businesses and encourage the local community to support local products. By working together, we were able to reach more people who need the skills development that The Axis offers

We look forward to Mahikeng FM representatives joining us at the Axis workshop 🫱🏾‍🫲🏻

The Axis programme was developed by Reconnected Group Africa @reconnected_group over 15 months of independent research into what entrepreneurial support in rural and peri-urban areas actually lacks.

It's delivered through the Bokone Foundation @bokone_foundation , so it stays affordable and accessible to the people who need it most.

And it's built with one purpose: to be a bridge. A bridge from where you are now to bigger rooms, bigger markets, and bigger opportunity in the metros, across the continent, and internationally. Because talent isn't concentrated in cities. Access is. And access can be built.

Join the pilot cohort.

This year, one of my aims is to intentionally grow my network.

My neighbour @kayla_rebo and I decided to start a social club for professionals, entrepreneurs and academics in the Mahikeng and surrounding areas. Every last Saturday of the month, I go and host whoever can make it. Since doing this now for 4 months, I’ve met so many interesting people who are doing amazing work in our hometown or nearby rural towns to build businesses, empower the youth and contribute to our overall community development.

I’m excited to see how we can continue to grow and connect more like minded individuals 🫱🏾‍🫲🏻
