I never really post on here, I’m not the type to be super active on social media or to get super sappy but I can’t NOT post about this AMAZING CAST AND CREW for this FANTASTIC show we put on. I haven’t done theater since high school and I’m so happy that my friend, Skylar, brought me back into it. I’ve made so many friends and have had such a wonderful time, even despite its stresses, I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I’m so thrilled I got to do tech for The Lightning Thief and got to support this great cast. I can’t wait to come back to the stage again, either as tech or cast, and to see everyone from the show again.
Special shoutout to Skylar, Heather and Donut for sharing the left side of the stage with me this whole time and keeping me company amongst the chaos!

I’ve been in the hospital since Saturday with sepsis and pneumonia and I’ve been having a really rough go mentally. I love festive times of the year so much. They bring people together and show us the true meaning of community. I really wish I was out celebrating with my friends and family, but I can always count on them to come to me.

@disfaybled @omg.sabamfa and Donut came to visit me and it made me so happy. I’m so grateful to have friends like them.

Heather and I both have yellow and pink chairs with Lap Stackers (@adaptdefy )now lol!! So we had to of course take some videos of us showing them off!!

The three stages of getting home from Faire... Beatrice is the joy of getting to sleep, Static is the horror at realizing how much needs to be organized and packed away for next year, and Ember is the 💢🙄🥱 at the idea of trying to do anything for the next 24 hours lol!

"Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection... The lovers, the dreamers, and me." ♡

May is EDS Awareness Month, and honestly it's been a frustrating few years of slowly understanding my limits, mourning what life used to be like, and accepting that my disabilities are worsening despite treatment and that it is very likely that in the future I will no longer be an ambulatory wheelchair user.

But this weekend I had the honor of celebrating my love @vanilla_overlord's birthday at @waltdisneyworld, and it was not only the first time I got to use my power chair at a theme park, but also the first time Donut got come with us! She was incredible, and we saw several other amazing teams. And while I experienced this park in a new way, I also couldn't help but to realize how much more I COULD experience with my power chair and service dog. And of course, with my amazing partner by my side. I used to have to leave Disney after a few hours at most, and this weekend I was actually able to spend most of the day with my loved ones. So yes, the past few years have been challenging - but they've also been the most incredible years of my life. I've gotten to experience the world in a new way. I've gotten to do things I love for longer. I've gotten to marry the love of my life. I've had the privilege of getting to know my heart dog and my soul dog. I've gotten to write incredible things for incredible places. I'm disabled, and it's really hard - but I'm so incredibly happy, and living a life I could've only dreamed of!

So about 4 years ago, I had an absolutely horrible experience at a medical facility before a procedure that lead to me developing PTSD that is triggered specifically by getting IVs inserted or bloodwork drawn.

As a person with many chronic illnesses, I've also been prescribed infusions twice a week. I haven't been getting these infusions for almost a year, partially because my connective tissue disorder makes my veins extremely thin and hard to stick, but mostly because any time they would try to insert the IV, I would be triggered and pass out. I initially tried several weeks in a row when these infusions were first prescribed to me, and I had to leave each time, upset with myself and disappointed that I couldn't get the treatment I need.

I'm happy to say that I've been going to my infusions again for 3 weeks now, and by doing deep pressure therapy on me while they insert the IV, this good girl has kept me grounded, prevented me from passing out, and has made it possible for me to get the treatment I need. ♡ She was never trained in psychiatric tasks, but from early on she would interrupt my panic attacks and ground me in addition to coming to work with me and doing cardiac alert and response tasks. She is just so in tune with what I need. Love this little girl and how much she's changed my life in only 3 short months!
