UP2 2025. “Monumental” - PIO, 9th/34, 91.413 can i just be the one to say “WOW” over here? this season was definitely one for the books. so much adversity, yet it didn’t stop us from being a TOP 10 group in this bloodbath that we call PIO. this group was BY FAR the most resilient, funniest, and respectable one i have marched with, and i couldn’t be more grateful to be exposed to new talent and vibes. thank you again, UP2 (especially UP2Bass), for taking me in (although pretty late this time, and after two zoom meetings) to march with y’all. you never fail to challenge me as a performer, and hold such high expectations of me to succeed in a positive environment. one where i feel seen, heard, and loved. i hope that despite my absence, my efforts did not go unnoticed. either way, with this being the hardest show I’ve done, i am so grateful to wear your logo on my back. the craziest thing about this year is the fact that i was NOT planning on coming back for this year. hell, i’m still processing the fact i did. but, it is because of you guys, as well as my friends and teachers from UPW and team FL, who inspired me to march again. seeing how this season turned out, as well as how my mental health and academics drastically improved since September, *i know that i made the right decision*. i will do my best to come back next year, whether it’s on the floor or helping out any way i can, while also preparing for DCI 2026 auditions (rageout!!!) but until then, don’t you… forget about me…

10 years i’ve been a percussionist. 9 years i’ve known about the marching arts. 8 indoor seasons and states i’ve performed in. 7 popped drum heads. 6 WGI events i’ve competed in. 5 years i’ve marched independently. 4 times i’d have gone to Dayton (counting this year). 3 different instruments i’ve marched. 2 countries i did band in. 1 uniform i got to keep. 0 regrets. and COUNTLESS instructors, friends, and supporters who helped shape me into who i am as a performer, and person. happy march fo(u)rth!
