Survivors. Advocates. Changemakers. 🗣️🌟

Nearly 50 survivors, hotline volunteers, and advocates from 16 states came to Capitol Hill for RAINN’s Congressional Day of Action.

From ages 17 to 70, this powerful group led over 40 meetings with legislators and staff advocating for survivor-supporting and preventive policies like the #DEFIANCEAct and the #NoFAKESAct.

At our press conference, RAINN’s Stefan Turkheimer stood alongside survivor advocate Monique Jimenez, Senator Dick Durbin, Senator Josh Hawley, and New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez to call on Congress to strengthen online safety and hold tech companies accountable.

Change happens when survivors are heard and last week, they were impossible to ignore.
