We are grateful to share that we are partnering with National Care Advisors as our elder care experts joining us live in the Elder Care Dime Lab.

We had no idea this kind of help existed until our cofounder @renna_dimes needed it for her mom’s care plan. They caught benefits no one else had mentioned and saved her weeks of time. 😮‍💨

Doors close Nov 5, and the Dime Lab starts Fri Nov 6.

When she found out her mom needed help, she was also juggling a devastatingly massive home repair, a design exec job, and care for her two kiddos. She thought she’d have to pull more hours out of thin air to DIY until a friend told her about elder care advisors.

This is just one of the full team of people who can help you navigate elder care planning. 🙂‍↕️ Yes, a TEAM. We’re still processing the shock and disbelief that we do not have to do this alone.

The silent screams (and 👀👀👀) across our team when we researched assisted living costs… and we saw the $74k a year number.

And @heyberna immediately soothed us with the “at least we know a number.”

Talking with folx across our network, the same thing keeps coming up. We assume we have to figure out elder care alone. It’s overwhelming. This season, we’re doing everything we can to make it less isolating and daunting.

Registration is officially open for the Elder Care Dime Lab, a 4-week cohort with vetted experts, and a first-gen lens built into the content. We’ll be doing the prep work right alongside you.

Kicking off FAHM the best way I know how: cooking for the community 🇵🇭

Had such a good time doing a cooking demo @filipinoislandfestalameda. I loved getting to share our tofu sisig, especially with folks who had never tried it before. A few people even told me they couldn’t believe it was tofu, which honestly always makes me smile 😊

The one thing I completely forgot to share during the demo was the inspiration behind the dish 🤦🏻‍♂️ so I guess I’ll have to save that story for another cooking demo.

Seeing familiar faces in the crowd and running into friends I haven’t seen in way too long made the day even more special.

Big shoutout to @piabarton and @rolobmartin for putting together another amazing event. I love seeing our community come together to celebrate, eat good, and spend time with each other.

And a special thank you to my sister for always being my biggest fan and supporter. I really wouldn’t be who I am without you. And to my wife, thank you for always coming in clutch with the assist and being there whenever I need you. 🫶🏼

Here’s to a whole month of honoring who we are and where we come from 🇵🇭

Mine has a few things like…
🔎 evaluating HELOC options for my dad (and talking him out of it lol)
📝 translating an annuity for my mom
🤓 learning how to make a grant program
🤝 onboarding a new tax strategist

Don’t really know how to do any of these (yet!). But I know I won’t have to go at it alone this season. Will be bringing all the things to the @new_dimes coworking sessions. 🤓
