USAPL Raw Nationals Meet Recap:

Alessya Floryanovich (@alessyaflo) - 60kg Open
(Coached by @cam.cavanaugh)

Joy Clark (@joybclark) - 60kg Junior
(Coached by @alessyaflo)

This was both Alessya and Joy’s first time competing at Raw Nationals, and our first athletes representing Team @509.power on the national stage! 🎉

Incredibly proud of the hard work, consistency, and dedication they both put in throughout this prep. Both athletes had great performances, going a combined 17/18 on the platform while setting PRs! Swipe for their individual recaps ➡️

If you’re looking to take your powerlifting to the next level, whether you’re preparing for your first meet or looking to qualify for Nationals, we’d love to help! Send us a DM or fill out the application form (link in our bio) to learn more about coaching with @509.power

Alessya Floryanovich (@alessyaflo)
60kg Open | 400kg Total

Squat: 147.5kg (PR)
Bench: 80kg (PR)
Deadlift: 172.5kg

Alessya put together a great performance at her first Raw Nationals, going 8/9 and finishing with a 5kg total PR to place 17th in the Open division!

Prep for Nationals looked a little different than usual. We spent a few weeks in Europe about two months out, so training wasn’t quite as consistent as we’d normally like. On top of that, she had a larger weight cut than she’s done in the past. She executed the cut extremely well, and we adjusted our attempt selection to match where she was on meet day. The goal was to put together the best performance possible, and that’s exactly what she did.

She came away with PRs on both squat and bench, and although she missed her third deadlift, her second attempt was only 2.5kg less than her all time best. All things considered, she had a great day on the platform.

I’m incredibly proud of the work Alessya puts in every single day. She trusts the process, follows the plan, and is always pushing herself. We know there was a lot more in the tank than what showed at this meet, so I’m excited to see what she’s capable of with a full, uninterrupted prep leading into the next competition! 🙌

Squat: 147.5 kg / 325 lb

Bench press: 80 kg / 176 lb

Deadlift: 172.5 kg / 380 lb

2026 USAPL Raw Nats Recap!

It was definitely not my best prep mentally and I did not compete to my full potential but I’m still happy with how it all played out.

Somehow managed to make weight and still hit a little 5kg PR on my total. Sorry @cam.cavanaugh for what you had to endure during this prep with me being very unmotivated, traveling & my attitude 🤣

Anyway- I’m excited to do better the next time around & hopefully by then I’ll get my deadlift back. Not ideal to be figuring out how to deadlift the week before nationals 🫠 Overall, it was such a great experience & had so much fun in the Windy City! 🏙️

Squat: 147.5 kg/ 325 lbs
Bench: 80 kg/ 176 lbs
Deadlift: 172.5 kg/ 380 lbs
8/9 400 kg total

1st place 🥇 at Empire Classic (100 kg open)
Squat: 215 kg (474 lbs) - 19 lb PR
Bench: 125 kg (275 lbs) - 11 lb comp PB
Deadlift: 250 kg (519 lbs) - tied comp PB
Total: 580 kg (1279 lbs) - 39 lb total PR
My main goal coming into this meet was to try to total 1300 lbs. Went 8/9 and missed it on my last deadlift (250 kg got stuck at my knees). Not going to lie, I was pretty disappointed at first, but overall it was such a fun day and I’m thankful to be able to increase my total and hit a solid PR on squat with more in the tank. The 1st place was a nice surprise too. Best part of the day was having my wife and kids there to watch ❤️ Your support means the world. Thanks also to @cam.cavanaugh for all your hard work and encouragement to keep improving and put intent into everything we do. You’re the best @509.power . Also shout out to the best spotting crew today for all the hype on the platform. @jordan_n8te @jacked.swolivan @pnwpowerlifting13 And can’t forget my favorite ref @mattysac. I finally struggled on deadlift just for you lol.
1300 will fall soon enough…

THE PEOPLE WHO MADE IT HAPPEN!

Huge thank you to our staff, referees, and the spotters & loaders for giving up their Saturday- especially on Valentine’s Day. We know that’s a sacrifice, and we appreciate every one of them for doing that for the lifters, for us, and for the sport.

This was by far the BEST spotting & loading crew we’ve ever had. Catching 800+ lbs ain’t easy- but these five made it look effortless 😵 They moved FAST, kept the energy high, and most importantly, kept every single lifter safe. Shoutout @wes.the.tank @justahipster1 @hustle_n_motiv8 @jacked.swolivan @patiole_55 ‼️

Lastly, thank you to every lifter who stepped on the platform at the Evergreen State Showdown. They’re the reason we do this & they made this meet unforgettable!
