Carla Fernández is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice connects social research, artistic creation, and cultural management. With a background in Fine Arts and a degree in Audiovisual Communication, she employs photography, documentary and video essay to examine social dynamics, history, and notions of territory. Her work has been developed through prominent residency and project development programs, including Matadero Madrid (2018), Mediapro Labs (2019), and CANNESERIES Unlimited (2020). She is currently participating in an artistic exchange between the Centro de Arte La Regenta (Gran Canaria) and Space Bv. 🌏🎚 ¡Al fin! La artista canaria Carla Fernández ha inaugurado en Busán su exposición ‘18.700 Km’, una propuesta que ha despertado el interés y la emoción del público surcoreano. 💫 La inauguración contó con una gran acogida y una velada muy especial, acompañada por el jazz en directo de la cantante Cece Kim y el guitarrista Gino Brann. 🎀 Tras el concierto, la artista compartió un encuentro con el público (Artist Talk), en el que surgieron preguntas, reflexiones y conversaciones en torno a la temática de la muestra. Una noche de arte, música y diálogo que demuestra cómo la creación artística es capaz de tender puentes entre territorios separados por miles de kilómetros.

La artista Carla Fdez nos envía estas imágenes de su residencia artística internacional en Corea del Sur, donde está creando nuevos vínculos con la comunidad artística local. 🖌 Estos días ha participado en una exposición colectiva junto a artistas coreanos que viajarán en noviembre a La Regenta, mientras continúa trabajando en ‘18.700 Km’, un proyecto que conecta Canarias y Corea a través de testimonios de personas que migraron entre ambos territorios. 🌏 La muestra se inaugurará en Busán el próximo 3 de octubre. @carlfemo

¡Pues esto ha sido increíble! El Campamento de la Esperanza se ha convertido en encuentro intergeneracional, espacio de sueño colectivo, aula de transformación, cine, comedor comunitario y escuela de la vida. El Centro Cultural Asabanos acogió la presentación de La última isla, de Dácil Pérez, una obra que nos llevó a reflexionar sobre la identidad, la memoria y los paisajes que nos definen. 🎙 Tras la presentación, compartimos un coloquio mediado por @carlfemo, donde el público pudo profundizar en las ideas y emociones que la obra despierta. Una jornada que celebró la creación local y el valor de generar arte desde el kilómetro cero.
