POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This was probably one of the highlights of our race. After almost 100km of Mountain Biking and endless ups and downs we ran out of water. We stopped at this stunning little town and thankfully Natalie from @adventure_immersion_lab worked her French magic and this amazing couple brought us fresh picked apples, figs, fig jam and crackers and oranges. They treated us like royalty 👑This the beauty of adventure racing! @raidinfrance @arworldseries @electricmayhemar #themidpack

CORSICA WAS MAGIC!
I’m still digesting everything that happened this past week at the Adventure Racing World Championship in Corsica. A whole year of planning, countless hours of training, and balancing work, family, and life… all leading to this unforgettable experience.
189 hours of racing and more than 17,000 meters climbed — and somehow, the hardest part now might be coming back to normal life. How could we not feel that post-race depression after something so life-changing?
If I had to describe this experience in one word, it would be STUNNING! From reconnecting with our AR family and representing our country’s flag 🇪🇨to the incredible Corsican culture, breathtaking landscapes, amazing people, and the teammates I had the privilege of racing with. Even those unpleasant surprises along the trails… NNNNOOOO! 😂
This is what makes adventure racing so special: the places, the people, the suffering, the laughter, and the memories that last a lifetime.
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine racing in Corsica, let alone joining so many incredible athletes in the Adventure Racing Hall of Fame. Still trying to wrap my head around that one!
I’ve never been the fastest or the slowest. I just love this damn sport and want to help others fall in love with it, too.
Thank you, God, for this opportunity and for doing immeasurably more than I could have ever asked or imagined. 🙏 Thank you, babe, for being there and making so many teams smile. And thank you, teammates, for the grit, the laughs, and pushing through every high and low. We did this together! ❤️
More stories to come as my neurons reconnect… 🧠😂

Over a year ago, this adventure started… and I still can’t believe it’s almost here.
731 workouts later (Thanks Training Peaks)
Countless meters climbed. Miles and miles biked and paddled. Way too many hours on the Wahoo trainer. Some skills reinforced, others tuned up, and as much racing as possible along the way.
All while juggling a job, family, and some very weird sickness that I’ve been managing for the last four months.
It’s been a long, hard process — but one I’ve genuinely enjoyed.
As my coach @martinsaenz79 says in Spanish:
“El que no disfruta, pierde.” You lose if you don’t enjoy it.
And now, the moment is almost here.
We still have to get there — which, honestly, is a race of its own!
In just a couple of days, we’ll be on the start line of another Adventure Racing World @arworldseries Championship, in an absolute jewel of a place: Corsica, France. 🇫🇷
Raid in France was always a dream race of mine since I started racing over 20 years ago. Now God has gifted me the opportunity to race another World Championship in an incredible place, with an incredible team @electricmayhemar
So… Corsica, here we go.
Time to run our race, suffer with fun, and enjoy every kilometer as a family. Thanks to everyone that’s made this journey possible! Keep your eyes peeled so you can track us!

Presidential Traverse (named in 1840 after 7 U.S presidents) : 7 peaks in the White Mountains including Mt. Washington known for having the most dangerous weather in NA! Typical hikers take 2-3 days to do the whole thing. The Cassius @cballantine and I did it in about 14h with some good weather at the beginning and then torrential downpour the second half. Beautiful scenery , technical in some parts and burly. Great training for @raidinfrance in 7 weeks and we are feeling good! Make sure to give us a follow @electricmayhemar this will be our team for the World Championships.

@martinsaenz79 @betendurance

The Cassius, and the Pain Parking Lot.
This year’s The Longest Day 24-Hour Adventure Race was a little different.
We went into race week with big plans…and then Tuesday happened. A nasty bug and a 103°F fever had me wondering if I should even be at the start line.
The original goal was to PUSH. Instead, I came up with a new strategy: Just survive the first six hours.
If I felt okay, I’d push a little more the next six. Then reassess. Rinse and repeat.
Not gonna lie…everything hurt. Legs hurt. Back hurt. Brain hurt. I probably even had muscles hurting that I didn’t know existed.
So every time my body complained, I mentally walked over, put that pain in the Pain Parking Lot, and got back to racing.
Cassius …what a teammate. He never once complained about my “warm-up pace” that lasted A bit 😂, kept me laughing when I was feeling miserable, and as always made great nav decisions when it mattered (except for that one lol). That’s why Team Electric Mayhem works, we don’t always have the fastest legs, but we usually have the most fun.
By racing smart , we almost cleared the course (short by 2 CPs) and finished 4th in an absolutely STACKED 2-person men’s field. We’ll definitely take that.
Huge congrats to the winners…you guys were on another planet. And congrats to everyone who took on this beautiful and demanding course.
And to our friends—who are basically family now @strongmachinear so cool spending so much time with you!. @nyaragram what a place. The venue, the course, the volunteers, the field reporters, every detail was first class. If adventure races could earn Michelin stars, this one gets them all. Thanks coach @martinsaenz79 @betendurance for getting us ready!
Now it’s time to get this immune system back online, recover, and point Team Electric Mayhem toward the Adventure Racing World Championship in Corsica. @arwsnorthamerica @arworldseries #adventureracing @raidinfrance #electricmayhemar @cballantine @andy_burbec

4 unforgettable days in the Canadian Rockies!

From breathtaking mountains and a gnarly canyoning section to “lazy rivers “and countless laughs (looking at you @rootstockracing )every mile reminded us that adventure is about so much more than racing!

We were blessed to finish 4th in the Coed division behind three incredible world-class teams @bendracing @expedition_canada @adventure_immersion_lab but the biggest victory was watching Clayton and his team become the first adaptive team to complete an adventure race. What an incredible picture of courage, perseverance, and the belief that with God all things are possible!

A huge thank you to Adventure Immersion Lab @adventure_immersion_lab the amazing volunteers and of course my Electric Mayhem Team @cballantine @gnarlygirlfitness & @jadeeagles for pushing through and ALL THE PANUKI!!!

Canada, you’ve won our hearts. Corsica … here we go!

Grateful to God for His protection, for every mountain climbed, every challenge overcome, and for the privilege of sharing this journey together.
