MI CASA TU CASA: Latin Heritage Fest 🎊 @altrimenti_markets #carnaval

❤️🇨🇴 My heart is still beating with Latin colours, rhythms and flavours after last weekend’s Mi Casa, Tu Casa – Latin American Heritage Feast! 💃🌎

As a proud Colombian living in Australia, events like this mean SO much more than just a festival.

For a few hours, we get to travel back to Latin America without leaving Sydney. We dance, eat, laugh, reconnect with our roots and, most importantly, share our beautiful culture with our children, friends and Australian community. ❤️

For us at @toluaustralia , it was a special opportunity to showcase our colourful boardies, proudly designed and made in Medellín, Colombia. 🇨🇴 Bringing a little piece of Latin America to Australian beaches, one pair of boardies at a time! 🌊☀️

A HUGE shoutout to Angela, Fabio and the incredible @altrimenti_markets team for the countless hours of work behind this celebration, bringing together Latin American small businesses, artisans, food, music and dance.

👏 Hats off to you for creating a space where our culture can shine and our community can come together!

We danced, ate, met wonderful people, made new connections and had SO much fun!

Proud of our roots. Proud of our craftsmanship. Proud to share our Latin American heritage in Australia. ❤️

Until the next one! 💃🇨🇴🇦🇺

SYDNEY
Eora, what a night! ❤️‍🔥
A few moments from our Sydney stop with Ghetto Kumbé, bringing the powerful sounds of Afro-Colombian electronic music to Australia.

Thanks to the artists, production team, Metro and to everyone who came through, danced with us, and made this night one to remember.

Llevando nuestras raíces latinas a donde quiera que vayamos ✨

On 10 October, we celebrated Colombian Migrant Day, honouring our culture, our roots, and the power of community alongside amazing organisations keeping our identity alive in Australia. 🇨🇴✨

🗞️ @elespanol_au , a Latin newspaper in Australia with over 60 years of sharing our community’s stories.

🛍️ @altrimenti_markets , a platform supporting and showcasing Latin entrepreneurs and their businesses.

💃 @ccfoau (Colombian Cultural and Folkloric Organisation) Preserving and sharing the richness of Colombian culture through dance.

Because our roots travel with us. Wherever we go, we continue to share our culture, build connections, and leave our mark 🌎✨
