For Me | It’ll Forever Be BIGGER THAN THE COVERAGE, BIGGER THAN THE GAME 🫶🏾✨

Still taking in Super Girl Weekend. 🧡

When I’m working events, I’m usually moving nonstop, so once it’s over, I need a little time to turn my brain off and really process everything.

There’s something special about being in a space centered around empowering female athletes. Especially after watching women’s sports go from receiving so little attention to finally taking center stage.

To be surrounded by girls and women competing, creating, connecting and showing up confidently in their respective spaces — while we got to do what we do best and shine a light on them — meant a lot to me.

Super Girl Weekend aligned so closely with everything She Scored Sports was created to do.

Over the weekend, we covered athletes across multiple sports, told stories, connected with the community and created our own little space where girls and women could stop and answer one simple question:

What makes you a Super Girl?

Seeing that board slowly fill up throughout the weekend might be one of my favorite parts of it all.

There were interviews, laughs, long days, a LOT of sand, running from one end of the festival to the other and so many little moments I probably didn’t fully appreciate while they were happening.

We covered. We connected. We told stories. We showed up for female athletes and entrepreneurs — beyond the game.

These 20 pictures don’t capture everything, but they capture enough for me to look back and say: we were there, we showed up and we did exactly what She Scored Sports was created to do.

Grateful for my team, every athlete who shared her story with us and everyone who showed us love throughout the weekend.

Super Girl Virginia Beach 2026 — thank you for allowing SSS to come out and do what we love: shine a spotlight on our girls. Until next year… that’s a wrap.

We’ve Got Her Covered.

This summer had its ups and downs but honestly, it’s been a good one and I’m sad to see summer ending but I’m happy for the memories made and the new friends gained along the way 🫶🏼 #goodbyesummer #summertime #summee2026 #memories #happy

The @wsl.qs side doesn’t run smoothly without a beach marshal under the tent who knows what’s going on!
For the last 3 years @jevans23 has been checking the pro’s into their heats and answering all the questions they have May before or after they surf!

She’s a face you may never see the whole event, but you need a good beach marshal for your surf comps to run smoothly!
Thank you Jana for all your hard work this year, can’t wait to see you next year!

WHAT MAKES YOUR BEACH VOLLEYBALL PARTNER A SUPER GIRL? 🏐✨

At the Super Girl Festival Women’s Open, we asked a few athletes to flip the spotlight onto their teammates and share what makes the person beside them a SUPER GIRL. 💪🌊

Featuring:

🏐 Riley Sharver — Local high school athlete
🏐 Ambre Stehle — California
🏐 Isa De La Rosa Sanchez — Colombia 🇨🇴 | now living in Virginia Beach
🏐 Priscila Almeida — Brazil 🇧🇷 | now living in Virginia Beach

Different backgrounds. Different journeys. One court.

And sometimes, being a Super Girl is about the teammate beside you — the one who pushes you, supports you and brings out your best.

We’ve Got Her Covered. ✨
