To our beautiful first boy, LONDON, who is ELEVEN today. 💌 We’ve always said you are wise beyond your years. You could fully take care of yourself (probably drive a car), make yourself a 3 course meal (that tastes better than mine), and take care of your siblings. You are a force. You are driven, kind, loyal and funny. You are blossoming into a young man and it’s the greatest gift to be able to watch you grow and thrive. We love you to the moon, stars and everything in between our Londie boy. 🪐✨🌙

Happy 42nd birthday to the heart, hands, and vision behind so much of what we do at Cove House.

Chase is a true builder in every sense of the word. A craftsman by nature, he is someone who could quite literally build a house with his own two hands. What started five years ago as a passion project—renovating our own homes, making our own vanities, working alongside the trades, and personally bringing so many details of our projects to life—has grown into the team and company we have today.

And yet, even as Cove House has grown, that part of Chase has never changed. He is meticulous, endlessly curious, deeply creative, and always striving to make something better.

It is one of the things I admire most about him, and one of the greatest inspirations behind Cove House.

Happy birthday, Chase. I can’t wait to see what 42 brings.

We’ve been so wrapped up in actually doing the work — moving projects forward, making design decisions, sourcing finishes, solving problems and spending our days on site — that sharing it all here has taken a bit of a back seat.

But there’s so much happening behind the scenes at Cove House, and we have some really good content in the works. Excited to start sharing more of it with you soon.

A little bit of everything happening at #TheParkHouseMontecito. Pool excavation, drywall going up, decking tile being laid, and exterior plaster prep underway. So many moving pieces, and it’s exciting to see this historic home take shape, one layer at a time.
The best part is watching all the details we’ve spent months planning finally come to life.

Digging deep and pouring concrete over at #TheParkHouseMontecito. Pool excavation is officially underway, the patio slab is going in, and things are really starting to take shape around here.

Life comes at you fast… and apparently so do slab yard visits with a toddler in tow.

We’ve been a little MIA over here this summer. Between raising three boys, running a business, managing a team, making hundreds of decisions for our projects, and trying to actually enjoy these fleeting summer days, social media has taken a bit of a back seat.

The truth is, we’re very much in the thick of it right now — in the best, messiest, fullest way. Most days are a blur of job sites, samples, sourcing, meetings, pickups, family, and somehow starting all over again the next morning.

We’re going to try to show up here a little more, share more of what we’ve been working on, and bring you along for the chaos and the beautiful parts in between.

Thanks for sticking with us while we’ve been busy living it.

Five years ago, we started our first project together with no real idea of where it would lead.

I came from a career in marketing and PR. Chase spent years working as a music producer and engineer. Neither of us had taken a traditional path into design, development, or construction—but we shared a love of old homes, thoughtful details, and the process of creating something deeply personal.

What began as one passion project slowly became another, and then another. Seven homes later, we still have moments when we look at each other and cannot quite believe that this has become our life and our business.

Each house has taught us something new, challenged us in a different way, and helped shape what Cove House is becoming.

Five years in, and it still feels like we are only getting started.
