We are thrilled to welcome Coach Meg to our program as our Head coach! Here are a few words from her:

“Hey everyone! I’m Coach Meg!

I’ve been doing this whole cheer thing for almost two decades, starting as an athlete myself and eventually making my way into coaching full-time.

I currently coach at a small gym in Brantford, Impact Cheer Athletics, where I’m the Program Director and coach four teams. Last season, I had the opportunity to coach Youth Team Canada, where we finished 2nd at ICU Worlds.

This season, with Team Ontario no longer existing, I was looking for something new, and this opportunity kind of fell into my lap! Since moving to Grimsby about a year ago with my hubby and our two-year-old, the timing felt right to take on a new challenge and bring my experience to a university program.

I’ve had the opportunity to experience cheer from so many different perspectives over the years, both as an athlete and a coach, and I’m so excited to pass that knowledge on to all of you.

My goal this season is to bring knowledge, organization, and excitement to this program while creating a team environment where everyone feels supported, challenged, and proud to be a part of the Brock University Cheer Club.

I’m SO excited to get started and to see what we can accomplish together this season!”

We are so excited for a fantastic year with Coach Meg!

My heart is overflowing with emotions today.

@kaider.t0t and the @impactcheerathletics POSH CATS brought home a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP this weekend. This is the clubs first National title and these athletes and coaches deserve every bit of celebration.

These athletes have been through everything you can imagine, season after season. They all trusted the process, trusted the coaches and most important trusted/love/respected each other. This whole squad has been built on resilience and found out what happens when you just put in work, stay positive, be a good team mate and HAVE FUN!!

THANK YOU CHEETAH COACHES AND FAMILY FOR ALWAYS LOVING AND SUPPORTING MAKAIDA - You are appreciated - WE LOVE YOU!
(P.S.A. I think her hugs might be a bit tighter now - if possible 😉)
