Farmer Zaid gives us the lowdown and just a brief convo of some of the different tomatoes and some of his favorite, that are coming to Market. This is a handful of the 40 varieties we grow in the season. Really try to take advantage of the different varieties shapes tastes and flavors we are offering. It’s humbling that it is late August already, and a few months away from the end of another season. In the meantime, make friends with an heirloom. Taste as many types of cherries you can, make some sauces, bottle and can something special. fry some green tomatoes

Market update with Farmer Zaid.
We have the debut of the Yubari melon.
We can’t wait to try them. We have a nice selection of field Charentais melons as well. All our melons are popping. We have a lovely selection of Dr Mazourek’s colorful sweet peppers. Our Canestrino tomatoes are happening, shout out to Rick Bishop, wherever you might be. Walla Walla onions are big and sweet as well as our Tropea Onions. Talk about sweet.
Last but not least Lima beans are back in fashion, with both our Christmas and regular beans.
