When it comes to exercises most of us have heard the term “recovery” but what does that actually mean?
Passive recovery means a day of total rest with out any physical activity which is sometimes exactly what your body and mind needs. Active recovery involves low intensity exercise that promotes blood flow to the muscles, helping them recover faster.
Either way, allowing your body to rest and repair is a key component to constantly progression your training.
Train smarter not harder 💪

ON THE BLOG —

@jareddethierry talks about The Importance of Community. “In a time of Social Isolation, Community’s everywhere are suffering due to the restrictions we are all experiencing. We also live in a time where the ability to connect with others non-physically has never been more accessible. Social isolation doesn’t mean social disconnection.

Now is the time for us all to adapt for the benefit of our Communities. Create Community Messenger groups, schedule Zoom chats with colleagues, FaceTime friends and family members. We all have the ability to build and maintain strong communities and relationships by adjusting our mindset from what we can’t do, to what we can do.

Adversity provides us with an opportunity to grow and build resilience. What role can you play to help your community through this Health Crisis to ensure it not only survives but thrives”. Read the full Blog post on our website

We asked Jared what is one of the most important elements to your physical health. His answer: Strong mindset.
“My Mental Health is just as important to me as my Physical Health and they work hand in hand. It’s so easy to get sucked into a negative head space by consuming negative material or missing a gym session or turning down a catch up with a friend - before you know it, you’ve made a day, a week, a month worth of negative decisions that forms a cloud over your head. We’ve all been there at varying degrees and we all know someone battling. What ever we feed will grow. Creating daily healthy life style choices will assist in building a strong, positive mindset. Try to move with purpose daily. Running, walking, yoga, gym, surf anything!! Making time daily to invest in your Health will build discipline, resilience and a strong mindset. Take ownership of your happiness, be kind to one another, check-in with your mates! Sending positive vibes today!”
