We’re still on such a hype, and glad to now share the digital tapestry of some of the submissions for Tracing Together at the Creative Intelligence festival at @southbankcentre! 🧡💜

It was such an exciting, vibrant festival atmosphere to be part of in one of our favourite London buildings. Thank you to everyone who contributed their pixel drawings of meaningful places, people and things to the shared digital tapestry. From Morley’s, Catford, and Mitcham trams, to your pets, friends and favourite trees… 🏘️🌳🐾

Through Tracing Together, we’re interested in the process of slowing down and finding slower forms of connection and collective memory-making in a time of rapid and unstable digital acceleration and optimisation.

🔗 A selection of works is now viewable via the link in our bio → https://tracingtogether.compiler.zone/c-i/

Thanks again to @peckhamdigital, @bats1996, @planetary.act, the brilliant volunteers and everyone involved in making ‘Get Your Hands Dirty with Creative Tech’ happen! 🤩

Grateful to have been selected as one of 20 young creatives from Redbridge for the Colours of Redbridge Portfolio Programme 2026. @coloursofredbridge, @anewdirection_ldn

After an inspiring one month masterclass exploring on various digital artforms and working on sessions, I had the opportunity to showcase my work on the title “Reimagined: Before It Fades” at yesterday’s celebration 10.09.2026

A huge thank you to A New Direction, Foundation for Future London, London Borough of Redbridge, Creative People and Places and Arts Council England for creating this incredible platform for young artists to grow. ❤️

So grateful for the experience and everything I’ve learned along the way! 🙏

We’re in full swing preparing for the 🧡 Creative Intelligence 💜 festival at @southbankcentre!

As part of @peckhamdigital’s programme (Get Your Hands-Dirty with Creative Tech), we’ll be presenting a version of our 🟦🟩 Tracing Together 🟥🟨 interactive installation from Friday 11 September to Sunday 13 September. On Sunday, we’ll also be running a drop-in workshop from 2-5pm.

Thank you @bats1996 for the invitation!

Developed through participatory workshops, Tracing Together transforms overlooked personal journeys and meaningful places into a shared digital tapestry. Using low-impact, low-resolution image-making techniques that trace back to the origins of cross-stitch embroidery, the work reflects on slower forms of connection and collective memory-making in a time of rapid and unstable digital acceleration.

Join us at the Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer. It’s free! And check out all the amazing things happening across Southbank Centre that weekend. The line-up is great! 💫

Following on from our 🛜 Hyperlocal Hotspot Lab 🛜 workshops at @sladeschool Art+Tech earlier this year, two new texts reflecting on the project are now online.

Written by @lily.has, @siusoon and Koundinya Dhulipalla, the first looks at self-hosted infrastructure as an artistic and critical pedagogy, and reflects on the workshops as a space for collective learning, experimentation and “doing otherwise” with digital infrastructure.

The second is a conversation with us about local offline networks, DIY/DIWO approaches, troubleshooting, materiality of the internet and the possibilities of treating infrastructure as something that can be collectively questioned and reimagined.

Really lovely to see the conversations from the workshops continue in this form! 💙

Big thanks again to Lily, Winnie and Koundinya for the collaboration, writing and reflections.

📸 FESTIVAL THROWBACK: PHOTO FAKERY

Throwing it back to Peckham Digital Festival of Creative Computing 2025!

Last year, we joined digital art collective Compiler for Photo Fakery: a workshop exploring the blurry line between reality and non-reality in digital photography.

Participants experimented with AI-powered depth-of-field, point-cloud aesthetics and digital collage to create dreamlike images that questioned what we see, what we remember and what we consider “real”. 👀

Want more experimental hands-on workshops like this at Peckham Digital? 👀

We need your help to make it happen. We’re still fundraising for Peckham Digital Festival 2026, and every donation helps us bring more artists, workshops, performances and creative technology to our community.

💸 Donate if you can — link in bio

More workshops. More experiments. More creativity. ⚡

🚌🧈👾🌈 Sharing some WIP 🍓🌳🌸🐕

Over the past few months, we’ve been working with @morrisgallery and a group of Waltham Forest Young Carers, creating collaborative artworks about their interests and connection to the borough.

Young Carers are young people aged 18 or under who provide unpaid care for a family member or friend with a long-term illness or condition. Every two weeks, a group meets as part of a Youth Club programme coordinated by Satvinder Bhatt and delivered by @projectzerowf.

In collaboration with @sarahval, we’ve been running a series of flexible, open-ended art sessions with a younger group aged 6-12, experimenting with plasticine sculpting for 3D scanning, digitally adapted hand-drawn pixel drawing and sticker printing.

We have been blown away by the thoughtful creations they have made and contributed to our online virtual environment so far. Responding to our invitation to draw and make things that matter to them in their local area, it features everything from beloved family dogs to recycling bins, from fictional beings to favourite trees.

We are excited to have more sessions coming up over the next few months, but wanted to share a few glimpses of what we’ve been up to so far. We know that even more fun and meaningful things will grow throughout the remaining sessions. More importantly, we are proud to help with this vital programme to offer a space to relax, make and try something new and different.

It has been so valuable getting to know the group and building trust and connection over time. 💙 There absolutely needs to be more support like this for young carers across the UK.

Highlights from our 🛜 Hyperlocal Hotspot Lab 🛜 workshop last Friday @sladeschool Art+Tech.

Thank you everyone who joined us to explore the roles and potentials of localised, offline networks and to collaboratively set up a Mini-PC as a local server, creating a space to share digital objects and communicate independently from the internet and cloud platforms.

The session introduced practical and critical approaches to working with local servers and open-source software. We then took turns in pairs, taking on different tasks in the process, to set up a server using our “Surviving in the Apocalypse” equipment pack. From installing Ubuntu, connecting all the required accessories to the Mini-PC and installing Shareboxx (a wireless anonymous offline local filesharing system), to setting up our custom mini-gallery to display artworks.

The workshop framed infrastructure as an active site of inquiry and experimentation, highlighting how artistic and DIY approaches can act as critical interventions in dominant systems of data circulation and control.

Big thanks to @siusoon, @lily.has and Koundinya Dhulipalla for the invitation and support! 💙

This workshop was organised by the Slade Art+Tech Research Lab and is made possible by the UCL Centre of Humanities Education, supported by The Lord Randolph Quirk Endowment Fund.

We also ran a similar workshop last Monday with @ual_cci for MA Internet Equalities. Thanks so much @hejsandy for getting us involved! We’d love to do more of these, if anyone would like to invite us! ☺️

This weekend we filled a gallery with the hopes of our neighbours, and then left them on display for the world to see!

In a small corner of the window is this incredible work by @compilerzone reminding us that HOPE IS CRITICAL.
