🔥 FINAL QUALIFIED ATHLETE LIST – NZSM 2026 🔥

The final list of qualified athletes for New Zealand’s Strongest Man 2026 is now locked in!

Athlete registrations close Saturday 22 August. If you have qualified, you must register by this date to secure your place on the competition floor.

A reminder that all qualified athletes may:
• Compete one weight class below the class they qualified in
• Enter the Masters division (if eligible)
• Choose to compete in the U120kg division

Athletes moving to a different division must make the required weight at the official weigh-in.

We’re looking forward to seeing New Zealand’s strongest men throw down in Christchurch! 💥🇳🇿

@_ranaesthetics didn’t miss the carnage that followed midwinter. From everything running smoothly, to an improvised lift mid event, and into tapping into the inner undertaker 😂

Don’t swipe to the last slide

Bit of Christmas challenge set by @dennym.kara to show support to a bro running

Full of ham, jam and everything made by ya nan, this was torture but we didn’t throw up 😤

Don’t have to watch it all but skip to the end, we stayed locked and I was ruined.

Appreciate the @engineeredstrengthgym for the hype and @mulletpower01 for undoing my belt to give@up@my back to breathe 😂

LDS Redemption 2025! Straight off the bat I need to thank the helpers @savagetrex @samzoesavage @recovery_r.a @chris_reddiford @kanosauras @fr8train15 you guys ran a tight ship and made the mess of an idea I had a complete success. Shoutout also to @reifecox_strongman and Charlie too for subbing in with the help and providing the bbq/prepping all the meat. Secondly to the competitors, everyone really left it all out there on the mats today. Our mate @steelvisualsnz for making the trip to handle the photography for us. We will get you back for sure bro. Thankyou to the coffee shot expresso also for providing the proper coffee and treats.

I have 30 odd photos I will chuck up now as a taster of the event and will have the rest to chuck up next week.

These are very high quality so if you want them emailed to you please let me know.

Thankyou again for everyone who puts the effort in and supports the absolute Gainz Palace and unbreakable community that is ESG - Kurt

140kg Log PB to round out comp prep . Had a rough session to say the least trying to baby my knees through till comp. This is attempt number 4 from today that finally clicked and got it done. Wise words from @whatmegdoes_ before hand to keep me focused and the hype from @darianosullivan @coopers_strength @jakob_merson_strongman @chris_reddiford @mulletpower01 to push me through.
