New visuals for the @coughingdove single “Take A Trip” are up now on the @sugartank_records YouTube channel (linked in my bio). It was my pleasure to shoot and edit this and co-direct with Nicholas. Here are a few of my favorite frames. It’s a beautiful song, and I hope you enjoy it.

Album Listening Party
Sunday, July 12 • 6pm-8pm
@coughingdove “Need You Star”

Coughing Dove releases their first full length album “Need You Star”, digitally via @sugartank_records on July 17th, and we’re inviting you to join the band this evening in Stylus to listen.

“Need You Star” is a sparkling, boisterous and downright pretty follow-up to the band’s You & Me Lee (2022) which was steeped in dark Americana. That tendency remains intact on “Need You Star”, with tinges of outsider country and gloomy folk rock, while cutting new adventurous shapes out of brightly fuzzed out experimental pop abandon.

Coughing Dove, formed in 2018, is led by Nicholas Holman formerly of Landless, Pullover & Serfs. Holman is joined by the band: Wes Hamilton (pedal steel), Vince D’Ambrosio (Bass), Ian Pasquini (fiddle), Charlie Weeks (Drums) & Brooke Weeks (Synths) on the new album. Need You Star will be available on vinyl later this summer.

Let’s listen, together.

Maybe it was the tinnitus we gained along the way...

Big time excited for this one since it's our EP release show at @snugharbornc on August 28th! Playing with bands that, for my money, are currently some of the best in Charlotte! Hope you can come out to see us play with @catchbliss.mp3 @midsummers_band and How Come (@probably_will)

@coughingdove stays completely undefeated with flyers like that!!
