I’m so grateful to everyone who’s been a part of this work. We did it! It’s about to see the world!!
NOFF is an Academy Award-qualifying festival, this selection is a testament to our skills and beautiful minds!

My imagination is my favorite super power, and to be able to exercise it, make it real, and share it is my greatest privilege.
I am BEYOND grateful.

For The Grind: a short experimental genre film exploring working-class solidarity, ancestral love, and the balance we find when our nervous systems calm, when we can feel our inherited purpose and drive.

That’s Fro Clark, the first-ever DFW Employee of the Month! 🏆

His nominator said it best: “Fro has been involved with multiple big installs, and he is always there putting in the extra hours, putting all of his attention into doing a good job, and helping keep morale up while completing his work.”

Fro has been a tremendous part of this team for a long time, and we’re grateful for the care he brings to both the work and the people around him.

First of many is for sure.

Beginning the Community Reporting Fellowship with @ledeneworleans I had no idea this would be my outcome. My very first showcase I was blessed to have with amazing peers and lovely people I call my friends! I gained them for a lifetime, I gained wisdom about community efforts towards housing, and I gained resilience to know the power of storytelling and how much it matters.

My initial idea was to write about short term rentals. But when I stepped back and took in what others from the fellowship shared with me, I realized this project might be stronger if I tell my families story, so I did.

My roots begin in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, a once lively and beautiful neighborhood that now feels vacant. My objective, was to report on this vacancy— specifically the stoops that remained in the area surrounded by empty plots of land, or houses mainly built for gentrification.

I found that not only is the area a strong one to have remnants from a category 5 hurricane still there, but one the community and its long-term residents are proud to call home. I thank my father and grandfather for always taking me with them in the area when I was younger. They allowed me to have this story I have today that I get to share with you all.

I’m blessed beyond measures and grateful for everyone who came to support us fellows! Especially those who came and sat on my stoops. I hoped it made you feel you were sitting on the front porch having a conversation with someone, as that was my desire!

Your story and the stories that live there will always remain. You’ll forever be on the map.

My whole world was made this weeking . My life story so far has lots of transitions in it just like most people but mine was a little different . Since a young girl I always followed my heart and trusted that God would put the right people around me .

I trusted when I shouldn’t have
I gave up my whole life just to help other people with there missions for there life

I’m choosing my desires
I’m choosing who I trust
I trust the GOD in me
