📚 Take a Chance, Sasha Sinclair by Ashley Herring Blake 📚 ⭐⭐⭐💫 3.5/5 stars A really enjoyable autumn and Halloween romance with an important message, which was delivered beautifully. I liked all of the characters and the setting (I discovered halfway through it is the third in a series). It didn't receive a high rating from me because it definitely could have been at least fifty pages shorter. It felt like a lot happened at the beginning and the end but the middle stretched out for way too long. I would probably read the first two in the series because of how much I liked the characters, but I'd check the page count first.

Apple crumble croissant pudding 🍏 🌱 @crumbtogetherbakes Literally unreal ❤️ also got my fave croque monsieur because I love a savoury pastry too. When people ask ‘but what do you eat when you’re vegan?’ Literally this 😍 #veganliverpool #liverpoolvegan #liverpoolfoodie #pastry

Good things come in threes 🧁 🥐 🍫 @crumbtogetherbakes I’ve wanted to try Crumb Together Bakes for the longest time, but I’ve never managed to get to the bakery before it closed. Luckily, they now supply @the.vibe.cafe , so while I was in Liverpool I finally got the chance to try them and I pretty much got everything that was left. No regrets! 😂 First up was the chocolate éclair. It’s been YEARS since I’d had one and it was just as good as I remembered only chunkier, more indulgent and of course … vegan! 🍫 The pistachio cuffin was absolutely divine. It had a fruity surprise centre, topped with the creamiest, nutty pistachio swirl. The texture was sensational sweet, sugary, flaky croissant style dough and honestly, it was as big as my head. 😂 This is a bake I’ve wanted to try for the longest time, but they’re not often vegan, so I was very happy to finally get my hands on one! Lastly, I made a rogue choice and went for a Lamington something I’d never tried before because coconut usually isn’t my favourite. I took the risk and I’m so glad I did! The soft sponge, fruity jam and coconut coating worked so well together. Everything was delicious, indulgent and clearly made with lots of care. I’m so glad I finally got to try Crumb Together Bakes! Highly recommend, especially if you’re vegan and love a good bake! 🌱🍰

SPEND THE DAY WITH ME ⬆️ IN LIVERPOOL 📍 This was kinda a big deal I may or may not come across outgoing but I may be the shyest person you’ll meet and this was all v outside my comfort zone ( I like knowing what’s happening 24/7 but for this event had no clue ) and yes was with my mum ( she’s my ride and help if things get a lil too much ) 😦 Going out is always a challenge I can’t really explain, especially cities that are awfully overwhelming & over stimulating but sometimes also because there’s so much going on I get all excited… can go either way 🏙️ At 26 I’m still figuring out my style and clothes are HARD , on this day I wore jeans ( have a love hate relationship) and the hoodie I designed from when I watched Alex warren earlier in the year and loved .. hence this day out 💪🏻 It was @roughtradelpl , never been there before ! Was such a great store with so many vinyls and learnt about my mums past self who was quite the music collector 🎧 🎶 It was well organised and chilled ! Felt kinda on edge as you just sat in the store to listen but @alexwarren wildchild album is v good 👍🏻 Even got a few bits of merch including stickers , pins and a poster 🆓 It releases this Friday (28th August 2026 ) I heard it on Saturday 22nd … 🗓️ We had a lil browse round the shops , saw a free pop up from @starbucks so got my mum a coffee ☕️ ( they I.D me … for a coffee that I wasn’t even getting for myself 😩) Had a free drink voucher from @johnlewis so had a lemongrass & ginger 🫚 tea 🫖 which I mulled over the choices as this was semi spontaneous as I knew I had the voucher and don’t live near John Lewis which expired in a day or two so it was now or never My brain was like mocha 🍫, matcha 🍵 , coffee ☕️… which tea but got there in the end Plus my mum got a vegan cake ! She’s not vegan so even shocked me and said she doesn’t tell the difference… taking that as a win 🏆 Now it’s not very often I’m in Liverpool but you bet when I am I’m heading to @the.vibe.cafe 💚 it was a weird time around 4pm already had lunch , too early for dinner so I did the sensible things and got cake to take away but a girl has a sweet tooth ok .. and they stock @crumbtogether

As a small business owner, and also just a human that cares about community, trying to be anti capitalist, and supporting other humans to live their dreams and earn a decent living, I shop small/independent/local over bigger chains and businesses wherever I can. Here’s some of the places I visited in July ✨💖 August is nearly over, but any recommendations for places I should visit in September? 🤩
