POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Jesus is calling. These men, common fishermen, heard Jesus call and immediately they followed him. They followed him for 3 years and they died in his name- holding fast to the truth that Jesus was and is the Son of God, sent to man, lived, died on a cross in our place to fulfill justice while pouring out grace- he died and rose again on the third day. Resurrected, conquering the grave, so that whoever believes in him shall be redeemed and restored to just and right relationship with God the Father.

These common fishermen, when Jesus died returned to fishing back where they started- but the grave being unable to hold Jesus- he appeared before them, real, restored, resurrected. They felt his scars, they watched him eat, and he once again called them to follow him. They did. They followed and proclaimed this life changing truth of Jesus until they were brutally murdered for it. Would anyone die in such a way for a lie? No. They held fast because they knew Jesus was, and is, and is to come. King of all.

“Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” And immediately they left their nets and followed him.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Fight the Good Fight Summit N°1 in the books!

We had a fantastic turnout and a meaningful time of jiu jitsu and faith on the mats. @vagnerrochabjj brought not onlyGI and NOGI expertise, but he shared his moving testimony of how Jesus changed his life, bringing him into the light from the darkness. His wife @faethusa faithfully encouraged her husband to seek Jesus. They are a wonderful spirit filled couple.

We had the honor of taking time to remember the recent tragic losses of Jerron and Professor Lindsey
Key brothers and members of the @gbseattle community. Thank you caring for caring for their families through donations collected. Thank you @sheridan_mason and @digiigid for honoring their memories as the caring warriors that they were.

@nickwallsteadt brought a fantastic word and encouraged so many in attendance.

@grappling.with.god and @wolfwalkersjiujitsu our local ministry partners, friends, and family in the gospel- thank you for coming. @cunningryanham and @hadley_bo shared about these ministries and the work that God has placed in there community. The summit’s goal was to bring Jesus forward, and build up ministries and individuals in the word and through BJJ. God has been faithful thus far.

If you have something to share about your experience or questions about the ministry, or most importantly who Jesus is- send us a message.

We want to thank @gbseattle for hosting, @rodrigolopesgbseattle for opening up the house to us.

Thank you to:
Imprint Church
@goldcreekchurch
@gpryor86
@mr.jakebond
And other regular supporters for blessing us financially to make this happen. It was well invested.

Next men’s event is in July!

Event N°5 with a NOGI Butterfly Guard focus and preaching on Psalm 34 are is in the books. We are thankful for everyone that is supporting the ministry locally and accross the States. We are very blessed the opportunity to proclaim the gospel on and off the mats. Living out the gospel by being doers and not just hearers of the word.

We are thankful to all that attended, to Sheridan for preparing and sharing an amazing word. We are planning an amazing event on December 6th to close out this first full year of Psalms & Submissions. Stay tuned.

Special thanks to @tyler_ross_actual and @fighterspassport for supporting us with their fantastic service. We intend on continuing to build relationship with Fighter’s Passport to reach as many people in the PNW with the gospel through Jiu Jitsu.

Of course, thank you to @melvinrevilla for his support and for his shared vision of using the jiu jitsu mats to honor Jesus.
