Our second annual FAN Career Summit was a success! 💙💛

Approximately 60 people showed up on September 19 at the SJSU Student Union to hear from our three panels: Purpose in Practice, Business and Belonging, and Inside the Hiring Process. In between each panel, our attendees networked with our featured guests, spanning from recruiters to entrepreneurs.

Career development can sometimes feel overwhelming, but our panelists were there to help make the journey feel a little more grounded and a lot more possible.✨

Many thanks to our panelists, moderators, sponsors, partners, board members, volunteers, and everyone who showed up to support. We hope the resume tips from @marieeeismagic, the nonprofit industry insights from @camillellanesfont, and the career stories from @krishaessj — along with all the advice from all our other panelists — were worthwhile! 💫

The fastest way to get through a HYROX sim? Tacos waiting at the finish.

Here’s some unreleased footage from our HYROX & Tacos at @hscgym on August 8. We ran the sim first, then ate. No upset stomachs on the course… Tacos earned after we finished!

Catch our next sim on Halloween. Run it in a costume and come have some fun!

💫 **TODAY IS THE DAY!** 💫

💙 After months of planning, collaboration, and a whole lot of heart, the FAN SJSU Career Summit 2026 is finally here! 💛

Our team has poured so much time and energy into creating an experience centered on career exploration, professional development, connection, representation, and community... AND I’m so excited to finally see it all come to fruition.

Am I nervous? As one of the organizers and a moderator today… oh yes! 😅 The butterflies are definitely there. 🦋 But I think that’s also a reminder that I’m stepping into something that truly matters to me.

One of the things I’m most excited about is having my sons there with me.

My middle schooler is involved in ASB and already growing as a young leader, and my high school junior is a student-athlete beginning to think about what comes after high school. Would they rather spend their Saturday relaxing at home? Probably. 😁 But I want them in the room.

I want them to hear people’s stories, meet professionals, explore different career paths, and see firsthand that there isn’t just one road to success.

And yes, maybe a small part of me selfishly wants them to see their mom in her element moderating a panel, connecting people, and doing work that I’m passionate about. ❤️

I spend a lot of time encouraging my boys to step outside their comfort zones, use their voices, and pursue opportunities even when they’re nervous.

Today, they get to watch me do the same.

That’s what this summit represents to me: exposure creates possibility.

Sometimes one conversation, one connection, or simply seeing someone you can relate to doing something you never imagined for yourself can change the direction of your journey.

To everyone joining us today, I’m so excited to see you! Come ready to learn, connect, network, and build community with us.

Let’s make today amazing! 💙💛

Super late PAX West post (thanks to whoever very generously passed on the plague to me).

After the rollercoaster summer I had it’s hard not to feel jaded with games media, but not cancelling this trip and seeing some of my favorite people was definitely a rejuvenating time I absolutely needed. Played some cool shit too, which also helps

PAX has come to an end. 😌 We still have some more footage to share in the next couple of posts, but we wanted to voice how entirely grateful we are to everyone who came to our booth to play Remaining Grace and chat with us.

We hoped people would love our game, but seeing it live is another level. 🥹

Special thanks to the interviewers from Day 3 of PAX: @Danreb and @smashpad_, Azario, Victoria and Mark from @noisypixelnews, @summerskin90 and @devdivetucker
