Dastgâmachine will perform with Stan Brakhage’s film Persian Series 1-3. They embrace a legible and unique form of psychedelia, incorporating the sounds and production techniques of dub, techno, and musique concrete into the Dastgâ system of arranging classical Persian art music. Persian Series was made as an intentionally silent film; the addition of sound was not approved by the filmmaker and is not a collaboration with him

Dastgâmachine (Mahmood Schricker, Caleb Klager, and Jason Rule) embrace a legible and unique form of psychedelia, incorporating the sounds and production techniques of dub, techno, and musique concrete into the Dastgâ system of arranging classical Persian art music. The three come from disparate scenes and sound worlds: Mahmood (on electric setar) from a traditional composition background, with years of performance and soundtrack experience; Caleb (on electronics) having gone from studying jazz composition to creating full throttle techno alongside performing in jazz ensembles and live at MUTEK; and Jason (on turntables) having experience with computer music ensembles and over 15 years of radio and club DJing under their belt in multiple countries. Experience Farbod Maeen at A/V LAB, a one-night exhibition featuring live music, projection, installation, and electronic performances. Video by: @ngcamillee

The first day of @wavelengthmusic winter fest 2026 was dynamic with all different types of music. It feels so alive and unique to see how they collaborate with different organizations this year even with conferences. These are some of my favorite photos of Day 1 festival 💚 Musician : @ehugiii @c0ll3 @maria__somerville @dastgamachine @cinnapeyghamy @passedoutonapersianrug Collaboration with @linkmusiclab . . . #torontophotographers #musicphotographer #eventphoto #concert #toronto

Grateful for this work and community. For the incredible artists and thinkers who live in/come through this city. For the chance to sit and talk with Melissa Auf der Maur (@xmadmx ) and soak up every ounce of insight and perspective. It’s a beautiful thing to be reminded of all the people working to foster creativity, culture and community in their corners of the world. A much-needed balm in chaos times. Thank you @wavelengthmusic 💛✨ Photos 1,2,6,8,10,18: @green__yang ✨ Photos 4 + 14: @matt.hertendy Photo 12: @a.l.i.a.n
