I've actually spent 4 days this week on my holland springtime mandala, doing the tulip corners and finishing the diamond corners, the tulips are beautiful but confetti heavy, each one was an evenings stitching 🤭😳and I was determined to finish all four!

It was too late to swap projects so I made a start on the frames that surround the four Dutch scenes, im loving how this one is progressing, I just wish my dad was here to see it, he always loved my crossstitching, but he definitely didn't understand the concept of patchwork, I can hear him now saying so you buy fabric cut it up and sew it back together again.... mad 🤣🤣

My last photo shows my starting point this week

Sorry, I did say this one would feature regularly on my feed. I'm also thinking of continuing this idea when I've completed this with one of my other chatelaine designs 🤔🤔🤔just which one, I've got three🫣 and I l9ve them all.

Holland Springtime Mandala by chatelaine designs
Stitched on 28 count evenweave.
Using the recommended threads, except the NPI silks, I've used the dmc substitutes for those.

This was a birthday start, and I decided to commit to stitching on this 2 days a week, unfortunately monogamous stitching doesn't work for me.

This is one calendar months progress, doing two days a week.

I'll be continuing this one for #chatelainewednesday and thursday. I'm hoping to add to this round. I'm not confident I can finish it all..... but I'd love it if I could.

28 count lugano in antique white
Using the recommended threads and beads, except the Npi silks, which I've subbed to dmc.

Project: The Kiss by Totoo Stitch. I love this piece so much! Just when I think I might get bored, just 💥 and it takes you on a more adventurous path. I find myself, having to make myself put it down. 100/10!

Sleeping beauty castle, for chatelaine Wednesday, I stalled with this one, worried about the jessica stitches, but when I pulled it out this time, I had no problem reading the instructions diagram.

I love this one, it has been completed by my friend @dawntcb and is stunning. See my last photo for her stunning finish ( I hope you don't mind Dawn)

I'm really proud of myself for getting them stitched and love the thread used, its a caron waterlillies silk called peach melba, I just need to remind myself to push the boundaries out of my comfort zone.

I've finished my centre square, and cant wait to start the flowers that adorn the edge, the second picture shows the beautiful vibrant thread that makes up the flower head, so do I carry on until part two is done? Or give the kiss some love, after all she's been in wip jail for 15 years and deserves her parole #chatelainedesigns #chatelainewednesday #chatelainestitching #chatelaine_design #crossstitch #stitchingwip #wip #crossstitching #crossstitchupdate

More progress on my chatelaine, sleeping beauty castle, I’ve finished the very centre square leaving spaces for the beads and I’ve started the outer green square, still a very long way to go, but a start is a start. Another lovely outcome from starting this is I’ve met a lady who is also stitching it @dawntcb hope she can be my motivation to get this one done, it’s such a beautiful design, with the castle getting more overgrown on each side #chatelainewednesday #chatelainewednesdays #chatelainestitching #chatelainedesigns #chatelaine_design
