for Through The Lens (2025)

Both @teedilla71 and @dbcxptures have documented special moments and key figures within music and culture and it was great hearing more about their journeys on Through The Lens, thanks again to you both!

It felt like a no brainer to create picture vinyls discs, oftentimes photographers are behind the lens capturing the moment so it was nice to place them within the very thing their work has often centred. Each vinyl has a portion of their conversation, bringing each portrait to life.

Through The Lens is a series of intergenerational conversations between Black British photographers. A short compilation of the conversations and accompanying mixed media portraits can be seen at the show ‘Adobe Creative Residents on Display’ at the @vamuseum till the 1st November 2026.

We are returning to Nairobi, Kenya for another year with an experience that is bigger and better 🫶🏾

This year, we’re diving deep into R&B + Neo-Soul, curating a playlist of some of your favourite artists from Usher to Beyoncé, Leon Thomas and Sasha Keable, plus a special guest artist and most importantly yearning. Lots of yearning.

This edition is a collaboration with Voice & Vision, a vocal masterclass experience. Warming the crowd with games such as ‘Guess the Song’, to it’s ‘One Room, Three Parts’ and things might get competitive with our Riff-Off.
