I’m back home in CA and feeling beyond inspired

And I’m so glad that I did, I learned and shared and came home with a full heart

Over foiling your brunettes? Don’t ❌

I placed 26 foils on hair that hadn’t been lightened in over a year, as in super grown out, tons of depth.

We wanted to keep her a true brunette, so my goal was to not overdo it— less is more approach.

Ashley was my model for our Columbus color class.
We have this thing we do at the end of each class where after showcasing the final results, we pick one thing we would have done differently. We like honesty 🙃

I said the one thing I would have done differently:
Tone her ends at a level 6.

No matter what I do, I feel like I always chicken out and tone a shade to light because I don’t want to cover up the highlights we just put in. But truly, that never actually happens.

In fact, when I’m toning down a brunette, most of the time I end up toning twice, probably because I played it safe, but also because fresh highlights can look hollow with just one toner on a brunette.

I’m constantly thinking about longevity with my brunette clients so for me it’s a double toner or toning a level darker than the goal color. Plus, really letting the gloss sit for the full amount of time or longer ✔️

Yesterday was so dreamyyy ✨

We had the opportunity to teach Mane Focus, our biggest class to date, AT THE SALON WHERE ALI AND I MET 15 YEARS AGO! @penzonesalonsandspas @atbaseone

Talk about a full-circle moment 🥹

It was pretty surreal getting to do our thing in the same place where it all started.

This was also our first time in a few years teaching a classic two-model color class. We’ve spent the last few years branching out and teaching all sorts of different things, but man, it felt good to get back to what we know and love.

And simply put, that’s doing hair and explaining WHY we do what we do.

I taught my signature technique, Dimension Drop, taking a traditional full-highlight blonde and shifting her into a soft, dimensional, lived-in blonde.

Ali taught a beautiful soft, lived-in brunette 🤎

Everyone who attended was AMAZING! The questions, conversations, and overall engagement throughout the day were so good. We seriously couldn’t have asked for a better group of stylists to spend the day with!

A huge thank you to @premier_beauty for hosting us and @oligopro for continuing to believe in us and support what we do!

And a special shoutout to @vic.ky.f , Oligo’s Director of Education, for making the journey all the way from Montreal to help make sure our day ran smoothly!

15 years ago, Ali and I were just two young stylists starting our careers in that salon. Never would have imagined we’d be back all these years later teaching a room full of stylists together.

Intercoiffure is HOME to me. 🤍

When I was starting out as a teenager, I joined our founders at Intercoiffure and felt like they were celebrities. Now, it’s become a place where I’ve found my own role models, friendships, inspiration, and a fire I’ve never felt before.

It’s a place where I feel welcome. Where I feel like me. Where I’m surrounded by incredible business owners I want to learn everything from and creative humans who remind me why I love what I do.

These are the people I want to break bread with. To share stories, ask questions, laugh, and keep growing alongside. It just feels right.

Having Khloe join me this year made it even more special. To share what inspires me, see that same inspiration fuel her soul, and spend quality time together.

Cheers to Intercoiffure 2026 in NYC! Leaving with a full heart and so much fire. 🥂

Salon Nouveau “Tapestry of Beauty” Master Artist Award

Individual colors layered strategically create a pattern and textural illusion that transforms depending on distance, movement, and placement. In this case, four distinct layers of hair were woven and painted in an inverted angled stripe. All five colors were custom formulated using permanent, demi permanent, and direct dyes. These painted panels were then added into the model’s own hair, which was pre-lightened and rooted with red orange, along with a charcoal green gloss for the midlengths and ends.
