Nothing beats a homecoming. After so much travelling around the world, it was so good to be back playing in my home city. Joburg, you brought the energy!

Thank you @primefest3 for having me, and to my incredible band for bringing it as always.

FUNK ERA IS OUT. NOW. EVERYWHERE.

Thirty years ago we pressed 500 copies of this album on CD and then it just... disappeared. No digital release, no streaming, nothing. If you didn't buy it back then, you've never been able to hear it. Until today.

All 18 tracks are live right now, the original Limited Edition plus three tracks that only ever existed on a demo CD and have never been heard by anyone outside the band: Liza-Jane, Pretty One, and a solo acoustic demo of Shallow Waters that's being heard for the very first time ever, by anyone, today.

This is Just Jinger before Just Jinger. Tri Funk Era, then Funk Era, then us. Thirty years of history, all in one place, streaming for the first time.

Tell us which songs you want to hear in London and South Africa!

Out on all major platforms...

500 copies. 30 years. Zero streams.

In 1996 we pressed 500 CDs and that was the entire print run. Sold from car boots and backstage doors, then gone. Never on streaming. Until now.

The Funk Era recordings are coming online. Worldwide. Very soon.

Still got one of the original 500? Show us. Photo in the comments or your story, tag us. We want to see where these things ended up.

The Scatterlings journey has been something truly special.

From reimagining these iconic songs to bringing them to life on stage in Johannesburg, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created.

A huge thank you from @msaki_za and I to every artist who contributed their voice, creativity and energy to this album.

And thank you to everyone who came out to Scatterlings Festival and made the day unforgettable. A special thank you to @nandosrsa for supporting us and helping make it possible.

This is only the beginning. ❤️
