Congratulations to the Levi family and Braun’s Law on this incredible milestone.

I never had the chance to meet Braun, but through the stories, the work, and the people who knew him, I feel like I’ve gotten to know his kindness and the kind of person he was.

There are some stories that stay with you long after you hear them.

I had the privilege of celebrating The Last Free Women, written by NBC News President Rebecca Blumenstein and journalist Diana Kapp. The book tells the stories of Afghan women who fled to the United States after the Taliban takeover, and the extraordinary effort to help them escape and rebuild their lives.

What stayed with me most is that these women are able to tell their stories while so many women and girls still in Afghanistan cannot freely live, learn, or shape their own futures.

As a journalist and an author, I believe deeply in the power of women being able to tell their own stories.

I am so honored to announce that I have accepted a position as a student manager for the Syracuse Men’s Basketball Team!
