New Coffee out now! For the first time we welcome an SL28 from Diego Robelo. This one tastes unlike anything from Aquiares we have had yet. Incredibly bright and delicate this lot tastes like champagne, cranberries and white sugar cubes.

Centroamericano variety from @aquiarescoffee , Costa Rica 🇨🇷 is back 🤘 Situated on the enchanting slopes of the Turrialba volcano, a lush area of forests, rivers, fauna, and bright flora, the Aquiares farm is the largest specialty farm in Costa Rica and home to 1,800 people, and it is often referred to as “Coffee and Community”. Producer: Diego Robelo Farm: Aquiares Estate Region: Turrialba Variety: H1 Centroamericano F1 Hybrid Process: Natural Anaerobic Altitude: 1200 masl Harvested: 2026 Cupping notes: Strawberry, red grape, blackberry, red wine, grapefruit, and caramel. Aquiares is an example of innovation and perseverance whose benefits extend beyond the farm and workers and serve as a sustainable, equitable production model for the broader coffee industry. Centroamericano H1 is an F1 hybrid variety generated by crossing the Sarchimor T-5296 and a wild Rume Sudan variety. It is reproduced through a tissue culture cloning process called somatic embryogenesis. This cultivar has been distributed among coffee producers in Central America over the last decade and the first productive harvests are now available. Turrialba’s climate is well suited to growing this new variety, and Aquaires is up to the challenge of meeting its complex nutritional needs. This hybrid represents the best of the farm and cupping worlds because it is high-yielding and rust-resistant, and also has a complex, elegant profile. Transparency. What we paid: -Coffee: 21.50€/Kg -Shipping: 3€/Kg -Packaging, labelling and sorting: 2€ Quantity bought: 60 Kg

Very little has revolutionised coffee farming like WhatsApp. In rural Ethiopia, however, many people don’t have the internet or a smartphone. Radio remains the way to overcome remoteness, literacy and even gender barriers. You can read @jwrdavies89 remarkable piece on the importance of radio now live on our website! 📻

We just spent an amazing two days with two of the most renowned coffee producers in the world: @diego.baraona of @lospirineoscoffee, El Salvador and @dirobelo of @aquiarescoffee in Costa Rica, as well as @bram_dehoog who brought them together as business partners in @paso_paso_coffee, a Farmer Owned coffee roastery in Hannover, Germany. They shared previews of their upcoming microlots with an enthusiastic crowd, told their incredible stories and answered any and all questions around the coffee industry at large, down to exact fermentation protocols and varietal research. Moments like these don’t happen a lot and we’re proud and grateful that they happen at our little shop. And last, but definitely not least, many thanks to @anna.katharinaa for capturing these evenings so beautifully. If you want a chance to join one of these in the future, make sure you sign up to our newsletter!

A little recap from our week at World of Coffee in Brussels! We kicked things off by brewing Hacienda Misiones’ Sudan Rume natural at the Varia Brewing stand alongside our friends at Beanbros, before moving on to the award ceremony for Europe’s 100 Best Coffee Shops. On Friday we collaborated with Bleu, a beautiful eatery and specialty coffee spot, serving our banana bread cold brew and espresso coconut foam, alongside some epic filter coffees. Saturday was spent at the Acaia stand serving hand brews of Wilton Benitez’ advanced natural Tabi, before rounding things out at Mazzer using their full range of incredible grinders. Finally, back in Amsterdam we wrapped the whole thing out at Uncommon Bar, hosting Diego Robelo of Aquiares Estate for an insightful session on regenerative agriculture and the future of specialty coffee production. A huge thank you to everyone who hosted, collaborated, and shared a coffee with us. Until next year!

World of Coffee 2026 in Brüssel🌍☕ Kaffee, spannende Gespräche und wertvolle Begegnungen liegen hinter uns. 💚 #worldofcoffee #worldofcoffee2026 #specialtycoffee #deliano #coffeeconnectspeople

As for the Guest espresso we've filled up the grinder with an Anaerobic Natural from Costa Rica, produced by non other than @dirobelo & @aquiarescoffee. This coffee is sweet, boozy and silky, expect taste notes of tropical fruit, ripe red apples and cacao nibs.
