I still feel wet, but my soul feels amazing. Chinatown and old town Pasadena by Metro was fun in spite of the rain. Yep… it rains in Southern California, but JOY makes it so worth it. Discovered a Black-owned cookie shop on Colorado and the pastries plus service are great. @badashbakes_

@kin_flo_ New York edition.

A day filled with love, passion, and creativity. @kin_flo_ brought together some of the most talented and ambitious creatives each with big hearts and bold ideas. It was all about sharing our gifts, inspiring one another, and giving everyone a platform to grow and express their colorful talents.

Congratulations @cocosouthla on such a powerful night of community, connection, and celebration! 🎉

One of the greatest honors of the evening was celebrating Los Angeles City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson with the “Keeper of the Flame” Award, recognizing his decades-long commitment to equity, multi-racial solidarity, and the transformative power of community organizing.

@mhdcd8 is someone who believed in me since the very beginning. His guidance and example continue to remind me what true public service looks like: integrity, humility, and always putting our community first.

I’m grateful to stand alongside him and so many others who continue building a South LA rooted in resilience and collective power.

I’m honored to commemorate 35 Years of Resistance & Movement Building with incredible leaders who continue to fight for South LA every single day. ❤️

As a lifelong L.A. resident...this was definitely one of the more surreal birthdays in recent years for me in light of recent events. .

Still grateful as always for another solar rotation.

Huge thanks to everyone who called, DMed, sent a text, gave gifts, supplied treats, popped up in person, made memories with me, or otherwise celebrated my day of birth on my behalf. Love y'all! 🥳🙏🏾❤️✨
