What a totally sound evening — Makers’ Social #3 was the best yet. Full of creativity, brilliant chat, and that magic spark you only get when people come together to share contacts, ideas, and a love of making things with their hands. In a world that’s more digital and disconnected than ever, this felt properly special.
I’m still absolutely buzzing. Next one’s in 2 weeks – Tuesday 19th. Come along, bring a mate for free – just tag them below and I’ll DM you the booking link (or head to the link in bio). Let’s keep this gorgeous creative energy going. See you soon at Makers’ Social at BANK. #makerssocial #northdevoncreatives #creativecommunity #makersgonnamake #handmadevibes #slowmade #creativeevents #ilfracombe #northdevonlife #fibrearts #craftsocial #madebyhand #slowstitch #modernmakers #creativegathering #bankilfracombe #makerssocial

A tomato feast at @trigonfarm was a wonderful excuse to head down to Holsworthy on a sunny Sunday. Thanks to @drviced and her fellow for the laughs. @shannonmeritbadger has owned this dress for longer than she's known me and it still looks fantastic. #tomato #polytunnel #tomatodress

There was a very very strong chance that the idea of a film night called Campfire Tales was going to live in my brain and on my hard drive and never see the light of day. Thank goodness I hoodwinked so many other people to do all the heavy lifting! Thanks to all the filmmakers who shared their work with us! To @museumofbritishsurfing for a space to show it. To the army of gem-slingers at @wanderlustlifejewellery for limitless energy, skills and smiles. To @heartbreakhotelcoffee for the greatest concession stand the shire had ever seen. To the crazy generous businesses that donated a sleigh load of prizes. To all you extraordinary people who bought event tickets and raffle tickets and donated to the gift drive. The result of all your kindness is a truly gigantic pile of presents and £1222.01 for North Devon Against Domestic Abuse! (If you're reading this and feel compelled to give 99p to make it a round number, please feel free 😆 The Justgiving campaign is still running.) 1 Behind the scenes with the movie machine operator and campfire proponent @vaughandenny 2 Other Land by @alice.rosaline.ward featuring @vittoriafarmer 3 Unplugged by @bellarosebunce featuring @beth_leighfield 4 New Colors by @arthur_genie featuring @grospiron_zoe 5 Synchronism by @pattipeople featuring @josie_prendergast 6 Obseassion by @laura.decomble and @romaindecomble featuring @lauremyr 7 Sieira by Claudia Romeu Dominguez @clorodo 8 This Girl Can by @sister_motion 9 Nancy by Anna Francis Pearson featuring Nancy Meherne 10 You heard it here first: @wanderlustlifegeorgie and I are now available for all your keynote speaking needs 😆🤪

My birthday was four months ago, but when you're relying on an Olympus point-and-shoot from the 1990s, documentation takes as long as it takes. Thank you so much @bennyblancoyayaya for the snapping, processing, development and delivery of these filmic memories!!

Since we put out the Sister Motion call for talent on IWD we’ve been building our creative collective by speaking to women and underrepresented talent worldwide. People from different departments, at different stages of their careers - all with their own stories of how they earned their place in our industry. Alongside the common themes of hard graft and sacrifice, impostor syndrome came up again and again. So this mental health week, we've invited Dr Vicky Dyson PhD, to share 7 steps to banish self-doubt and introspection to grab hold of the opportunities we’ve worked so hard to create. Courage is one of Sister Motion's core values and we hope you will be inspired to try some of the exercises and evaluate how your own self conscious can sometimes sabotage your chances of success! Bonfire night has been and gone, so does this mean we’re allowed to mention the ‘C’ word? Who’s up for a night of festive creations!? 🎄 We’ve teamed up with Iona to bring you all an evening of festivities to enjoy with friends and or loved ones. Come to Cafe Croyde Bay on either the 25th November, the 2nd or the 9th December for a welcome glass of something and a wreath workshop with the talented @ionatilley for just £20. If you’d like us to provide a tummy warming supper too, for an additional £8.50, just let us know when you book! This is the perfect excuse to gather together and spend an evening making beautiful festive memories and walk away merry, full of great food, armed with a wreath made just the way you want it. To book, simply drop us a message and we’ll reserve you a spot. Act quickly though as we’ve got a sneaky feeling these spaces won’t last long! 🎄7pm ‘til 9pm 🎅🏻
