In this video, Paul demonstrates abdominal palpation on drzachtraj from thein8life — another traditional assessment method used in Chinese medicine. By gently palpating different areas of the abdomen, Paul is looking for changes such as tension, tenderness and areas that feel different from the surrounding tissue. In this case, Paul found some tightness that, within a Traditional Chinese Medicine framework, he interpreted as being consistent with a pattern known as blood stasis, or Oketsu in Japanese acupuncture. He goes on to explain what this pattern means and how it may present. 🍃 It’s another example of how Chinese medicine practitioners use multiple diagnostic methods to build a more complete picture of an individual. A little wander through @thein8life 🌱 My macramé hanging on the walls of my favourite chiropractic studio in town, with @drzachtraj doing his thing in the open adjusting space as we pass by 😊 I love seeing my work become part of this beautiful, welcoming space. It feels pretty special to have my pieces here ✨ You can find my collection at The IN8 Life in Geelong West. #weavesbymarta #macrame #macrameart #macrameaustralia #macramedecor

👅 How does Chinese medicine look at the whole picture? 🌿 Paul explains some of the traditional diagnostic tools used in Chinese medicine, including pulse and tongue diagnosis. Pulse diagnosis is a particularly distinctive part of Chinese medicine practice, while observing the tongue provides another piece of information alongside your health history, symptoms and other observations. Rather than relying on one factor alone, these traditional methods help inform an individualised approach to care. 🪡🍃 Curious to learn more about how Chinese medicine works? CHIROPRACTORS RATING POPULAR BIOHACKS 🦶Detox Foot Pads The appeal is obvious. Black gunk seeps out overnight and looks like toxins leaving your body. Except that’s not quite how it works. Those pads interact with moisture and heat, not actual toxins. Your liver and kidneys are already doing the detox job they were designed for. If you’re genuinely interested in supporting your body’s natural detoxification, hydration and movement are where the real work happens. These pads? Nice idea, but the science doesn’t back it up the way people think. 🌍 Grounding and Earthing Your body runs on electromagnetic frequency. We all do. Spend your life on rubber soles and concrete and you’re basically insulated from the earth’s natural charge. Grounding reconnects you. Your nervous system downregulates, inflammation can ease, blood pressure has a chance to normalise. It sounds simple because it is. Your body literally remembers what it feels like to be connected to the ground. 🔥 Sauna Heat stress triggers real physiological adaptations. Your cardiovascular system gets stronger, circulation improves, stress hormones ease. The catch is hydration. Go in depleted and you’re working against yourself. Go in properly hydrated and you’re genuinely supporting recovery and relaxation. It’s one of those biohacks that actually delivers if you respect the process. 📍 53 Hope Street, Geelong West (5298 1838)

It takes a team to keep the flow going 💪🏻🌿 Paul and @drzachtraj from @thein8life talk about how having the right people around you helps keep a busy clinic running smoothly — and allows practitioners to stay in that “flow state” when they’re working with patients. When the team & assistants handles the timing, organisation and everything happening behind the scenes, the practitioner can stay focused on the patient in front of them. 👀✨ It’s a great reminder that good healthcare is rarely a one-person job — there’s a whole team working together behind the scenes. 🌸 Curious to see how the AAC team works behind the scenes? Ever wondered why a TCM practitioner checks your pulse? In this video, Paul shows @drzachtraj from @thein8life how pulse reading is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as part of the consultation process. Rather than simply checking your heart rate, TCM pulse diagnosis involves assessing the quality and characteristics of the pulse to help a practitioner build a more complete picture of an individual’s presentation. 🌿 It’s one of the many traditional diagnostic methods Paul uses alongside questioning, observation and other assessment techniques to develop an individualised approach! #Acupuncture #ChineseMedicine #TCM #Geelong #AustralianAcupunctureCentre
