"WHAT WILL YOU DO TO END THE CRUELTY HAPPENING ON SKID ROW AND ALL OVER LOS ANGELES STREETS?" The @standupforpitsfoundation produced a Town Hall on May 3rd and 11 candidates attended. Here are some of them and their comments in response to the above question. To everyone yelling about who they hate and who they love but did not take the time to attend our Town Hall, have not been to Skid Row, have not been to the shelters, are completely uneducated on how the broken shelter system is and how it is being monopolized - educate yourself. Animal welfare is nonpartisan. The mass murder and torture of animals happening in Los Angeles is not about your politics and if you vote solely based on that - you are not helping the animals. The SUFP Town Hall is available in its entirety at the link in our BIO. We provided this opportunity to all the candidates and to this community in hopes people would take the time to learn. Do it. Lives are depending on it. ATTENDEES; TONIA AREY - LA county supervisor Dist 3 DYLAN KENDALL - LA City Council Dist 13 NELSON GRANDE - LA City Council Dist 1 BRYANT ACOSTA - Mayor TISH HYMAN-Mayor ADAM MILLER - Mayor ANDREJ SELIVRA - Mayor RAE HUANG - Mayor NELSON CHENG - mayor LOU CALANCHE - LA City Council Dist 1 WENDY CARRILO - State Senate #standupforpits #town #hall #endcruelty #losangeles

Mic fucking drop. In a recent debate for people running for council for district 13, the current council person said that there are less calls about homelessness in that district. @dylan_kendall ‘s response is exactly all of us. She said there are less calls because there’s less trust in the system. I know countless people that have completely given up on current leadership. I can do a five hour video compilation of messages that I get from people saying “I tried to call somebody for help, but I’m not getting any help, can you help?”. Just this morning when I was taking my dog for a walk, I saw two people having to carry their dogs when they walked under a bridge because there is so much paraphernalia. When we call about anything, we are gaslighted, laughed at and completely ignored. I am still waiting for responses from current council people on requests I made over three years ago. Why on earth would I ask them for something else when they can’t even answer my first question?

..overly grateful for every opportunity especially this one. it seems like im in in a constant loop where i get reminded of where i was & it instantly makes me reflect one how far ive come. so Mark was my neighbor for 3 years. & the amount of soap operas we’ve been through in that place always grounds me on how comical it is to have these “inconveniences” when its weighed against the real life traumas of incarceration… profoundly grateful that the fellas im grouped with are all formerly incarcerated & overstand the value in being the avatar for those who are seeking freedom. for everyone thats seeking any level elevation the obstacle is the way.. any one interested in making the trip reach out to @defy_ventures

JUNE 2nd- LA City Election. Ballots will start to be mailed May 4th. We cannot have our very own Mamdani here in LA. We deserve better. DSA cannot takeover. They target local elections because they know that nobody pays attention or votes. They win by default. Nithya Raman is DSA, she is two faced, plays both sides and cannot be trusted to run our city. Please share this with any and all Angelenos. 🙏🙏 Please DM if you want to get involved.
