Why does it feel like you need permission to take your own life seriously? To raise yourself to a higher level?

You don't.

In this photo I'm sitting with an Olympic 800m runner, working through strategy on how to optimise his nutrition for performance. He is already up there with the best in the world at what he does, and he is still relentlessly looking for the next one percent. Nobody had to convince him that was allowed. He asks the same question every serious performer eventually asks: could I be better?

That question should never require an apology.

If the people around you don't align with the standard you're building, that's not a reason to lower it. It's a reflection of what they will or won't accept in themselves. Their discomfort is information about them, not instruction for you.

None of this is free. Outgrowing old habits, old routines, and sometimes old relationships costs something. That's the trade, It's supposed to.

However,

Never apologise for the diet, the training, the early night, the boundary, or the hour spent on your career instead of somewhere else. Some people will only ever know you as who you used to be. Don't wait for their approval to become who you're meant to be.

Raising your standard isn't arrogance. It's responsibility.

Save this for the next time someone questions yours.

Next up we have @eibadin as the Red Team Captain ❤️

We were unable to get any words from him during the press conference; he’s reportedly on the track running laps as we speak 😭😭

This week was was a wild ride of travel and work!

Getting deep into rehab nutrition protocols, stress reduction protocols to optimise nutrition and digestion/absorption

Systemisation of life variables to enhance performance and execution

This small snippet gives you a much greater understanding of the holistic approach we take to coaching the individual and their overall system when trying to achieve an outcome regardless of what that outcome is!

You saw multiple sports and lifestyles at the professional level and instead of layering complexity because "pro" were looking at simplicity and system approaches that will make the biggest impact!

We have to meet the athlete where they are not where we want them to be, from there we can level things up!

That's the Matter approach...

Reduce friction, improve execution, increase probability of result!
