FIT MODEL POSING CRITERIA!!!✨

Thinking about competing in Fit Model?

The posing requirements can be quite different from what you might be used to seeing in other female categories, so it’s SO important to understand exactly what your federation is looking for.

In this post, we’re going through the NPC Fit Model criteria, including what they’re looking for in the physique and how your stage presentation should be structured.

We’ve also broken down the front and back poses, the walk and some of the key rules you need to know before stepping on stage.

Because your posing isn’t just about looking good - it’s about understanding the criteria you’re being judged against and presenting yourself accordingly. 🤍

Save this one if Fit Model is on your radar and send it to a friend who needs to see it! 🎀

And if you’re looking for help with your Fit Model posing, this is exactly what we do at LFP.

With 7 girls across Team LFP, all with different coaching styles, experience and locations around the UK, we really do believe there is a coach here for everyone.

We work with ALL female categories and federations, whether you’re a complete first timer or heading back to the stage.

WHICH FEDERATIONS CAN I USE THESE BIKINI SIDE POSES IN? 👀

One thing we get asked ALL the time at LFP is which federations allow different bikini side poses.

And the answer? It can vary more than you might think!

We’ve put together this post to break down the different federation requirements and show you where these side poses can and can’t be used.

Because knowing your federation’s rules is SO important when it comes to your posing - you don’t want to turn up on show day doing a pose that isn’t required or allowed. 😂

Save this one for your prep and send it to your bikini bestie! 🤍

And if you’re unsure about what your specific federation requires, that’s exactly what we’re here to help with.

We can tell you all day long why we think you should come and pose with us…

But we’d much rather you hear it from the girls who have actually experienced it for themselves. 🤍

So here’s what some of our LFP girls have to say about working with us, their posing journey and the LFP experience.

Because don’t just take our word for it… hear it from them! 👀

LET’S TALK ABOUT THE COST OF YOUR BODYBUILDING PREP 💸

One of the biggest considerations before saying YES to a prep should be… can you actually afford it?

There’s so much more to budget for than just your coaching. When you factor in everything from your prep baseline through to show day and glam, the total can quickly add up.

A realistic overall figure can be around £4,275–£9,745, depending on your choices and circumstances.

CAN YOU MAKE THIS TOTAL SMALLER? HELL YES! 😂

But this is exactly why finances are such a massive consideration when deciding whether now is the right time to prep.

Budget. Save. Plan ahead.

Because there is NO title worth bankrupting yourself for. 🤍

Want some tips on how to cut costs during a prep?

We have a whole video on this inside our Community Site, which all members have access to. 🎀

Few final tweaks for @bossen_isabella 🫶🏽

Isabella has absolutely taken over the natural figure category by STORM this year, earning TWO natural pro cards!

She’s the perfect example of why, as you progress through your competitive career, your posing should evolve alongside you.

If you’re a first time competitor or still new to the sport, focus on enjoying the experience, bringing your absolute best and learning the sport. Find your feet have fun with the process. Your first shows are about you, your progress and being proud to stand on that stage! Don’t put unnecessary pressure on yourself by worrying about everyone else on stage.

But as you become a more seasoned athlete and start competing at a higher levels and bigger shows your approach needs to evolve. Bodybuilding is a competitive sport, and if you want to progress, you need to develop the resilience to assess your presentation objectively, understand who you’re competing against and make strategic adjustments to give yourself the best possible chance.

Isabella is a great example of this. She earned her pro card in figure, which is a slightly softer look than FIT Body. Now competing in NBW, where the pro figure line up can include FIT Body athletes and trained figure pros, we’ve considered the variety of physiques she could be standing alongside.

So, we’ve made small but intentional adjustments to her posing. We haven’t completely changed her posing… we’ve tweaked it slightly so she can better present her physique based off the show, the criteria and the calibre of competition!!! And that’s the point!!!!

At a higher level, you shouldn’t simply turn up and repeat what you did last season or in your last show just because it worked then. You should be assessing, refining and looking for every opportunity to present your physique as effectively as possible against the competition in front of you.

As a physique coach, you’re constantly assessing your client’s physique and looking at how you can improve their overall look from show to show. As a posing coach, I’m doing exactly the same, but through their presentation. Just as your physique develops from show to show, your posing should too!🩷

TOP TIPS FOR YOUR FIGURE FRONT POSE 👀

The figure front pose might look simple… but it’s actually one of the poses we see athletes make the most mistakes with.

Small changes in your stance, hips, shoulders, arms, elbows and overall positioning can completely change how your physique is presented on stage.

And because your front pose is one of the key positions the judges see, you want to make sure you’re showcasing your physique in the strongest way possible.

That’s why we’ve put together some of the most common mistakes we see in the figure front pose, along with some simple things you can work on to improve your presentation. 👆🏼

Want some help finding the best version of your front pose? That’s exactly what we love doing at LFP. 🤍

With 7 girls across Team LFP, all with different coaching styles, experience and locations around the UK, we really do believe there is a coach here for everyone.

We work with ALL female categories and federations, whether you’re a complete first timer or heading back to the stage.

WHAT IS UKDFBA’S NEW RULE ON THE GLUTE WALK BACK? 👀🍑

If you compete with UKDFBA, you might have noticed a change to how the glute walk back is performed and if you’re not sure what you’re supposed to be doing, don’t panic!

The glute walk can be a little more technical than it looks, especially when you’re trying to remember where to start, how to transition and what the judges are actually looking for.

And one of the biggest things to remember?

You’re STILL being judged while you walk.

It’s not simply about getting from the front of the stage to the back. Your glute presentation, confidence, movement and stage presence are all still on show.

We’ve broken down the new format, the transitions and exactly what you should be thinking about during your walk in the carousel 👆🏼

And if you compete with UKDFBA and want to make sure you’re actually confident with this on stage rather than trying to figure it out on show day… this is exactly what we can help you with. 🤍
