POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On 17–18 October, Town Hall by Bottaccio presents one of the world’s first immersive symposiums on consciousness, bringing together artists, scientists and leading thinkers to explore perception, altered states and the nature of reality.

We’re excited to reveal the programme. From an opening keynote by philosopher Elio D’Anna @eliodanna to conversations featuring artists Chris Levine @chrislevine and Liliane Lijn @lijnliliane , alongside leading neuroscientists and researchers, the day will explore the science of the self, altered states of consciousness and the boundaries of perception.

Set entirely within Philip Vermeulen’s Chasing the Dot @philipvermeulen_3000, speakers and audiences will be immersed in a shifting world of light, sound and sensation, challenging the boundaries between art and experience.

Co-programmed by Michael John Harris of Town Hall by Bottaccio @mrmjharris and Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst of DoubleMoon @doublemoonarts.

You can register for The Light Eaters via the link in our bio.

It's not often I get a meetup venue with the Bayes' theorem lit up in neon 👀

On Wednesday, @elluba hosted the latest #LDNCreativeAI meetup with the Institute for Creativity & AI, where we heard presentations from Sander Dieleman (@googledeepmind) on multimodal generative models, Dr Jafar Sabbah (@bayesbschool) on generating creative ideas and artist @melissayunzhi on her artwork 'Master in Training'.

The next meetup is expected to be on Tuesday 24th November. In the meantime, reach out if you're doing anything interesting in creative AI as we're always looking for venues, sponsors, speakers and collaborators for the meetup and other projects.

Thank you to @esmepalaganas and Sara Jones for hosting this and for the brilliant venue at Bayes Business School 🙏

Some neural prophecies from Malmö 🪽💻⛪️

Tech Prophecies: Neural Chapel (2026), my collaboration with @moisesdsanabria, was presented at the ECCV Art Gallery 2026 in Malmö, Sweden 🇸🇪 this September.

The project imagines machine vision as a contemporary form of sacred imagery; mixing VQ-GAN videos from 2021, internet culture, religious iconography and technological prophecy to think about the systems that increasingly watch, interpret and mediate our world.

Very happy to have our weird little neural chapel living inside a computer vision conference for a few days. ♡

Thank you to curators @elluba and @yr_data and the ECCV Art Gallery for including our work.

'Dance, Regardless — The Sixth Step —'
is now available to collect.

Fresh from DIGITALISM at the Saatchi Gallery, my six-part video series is listed as six one of one NFTs.

A PORTRAIT OF A LIFE THAT KEPT GOING. Emerging from a year of rupture — loss, grief, heartbreak, a body rewritten by surgery — it traces the "sixth stage" of grief: where self re-forms and joy returns in new shapes.

Each work created in cAImera as one-shot. The process feels like painting with AI, through bespoke parameters and prompts.

Priced by step: each step costs its number, from Step 1 at 0.1 ETH to 'Step 6, Like a Rothko Painting', at 0.6 ETH. The later steps are the longer works.

Visuals and Music by KEZIAI

‘Lens’ (2026) has been selected by curators Luba Elliott (@elluba) and Ioannis Siglidis (@yr_data) for the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV) art exhibition in Malmö (Sweden) this coming week. It is one of the 12 spotlighted works from 52 accepted projects and will be showcased on-site from 8-12 September.

‘Lens’ allows users to navigate a dataset of 50k+ satellite images I rendered directly from Landsat's raw numerical data archives using custom Python scripts. The images were subsequently organised into a vector space according to an algorithmic logic of visual similarity rather than geographic location, which is freely navigable via motion capture hand gestures. It asks in a straightforward and embodied way, what it means to move through and perceive the Earth as an algorithm, also pointing towards the strange thermodynamic link between Earth Observation and planetary degradation.

‘Lens’ was developed during my ‘Earth Stories’ commission for @arteo.earth earlier this year.

“The Scarecrows of Saskan: Live Action Remake“ will be presented at ECCV 2026, the European Conference on Computer Vision, taking place in Malmö from September 8 to 12.

I'm glad to have the work included here because ECCV opens up the technological side of “The Scarecrows of Saskan“ and the “Companions Cycle“ more broadly. Many thanks to @elluba and @yr_data

Work description:
“The Scarecrows of Saskan: Live Action Remake“ is a single-channel video that is based on motion-capture footage of “Reenactment“, a solo performance at Golden Pudel Club Hamburg @pudel_com in which James Oldham enacted every character of Elia's musical of the same name, filmed continuously on three cameras. That footage was run through an AI reference motion workflow, reanimating the characters, sets, and lighting in a visual language drawn from German Expressionist cinema.

Produced in collaboration with @james_c_oldham , @to.lani , @aadacher , @3gforttte , @junyfuia , @mmaxi.glas , @murderkinq , and @jessedommermuth @aufmontage

A museum object is usually encountered through looking. What changes when learning also happens through touch, gesture, and the body?

Exploring Buddhist Symbolism Through Real-Time Touch and Gesture in a Museum Setting is an interactive installation commissioned for the Temple Room at the San Diego Museum of Art.

Visitors can explore the iconographic details of a seventeenth-century Amida Buddha through touch, then use their own hands to perform mudras represented across the museum’s Buddhist collection. The work brings close looking and embodied learning together, turning interpretation into something visitors can physically try, share, and experience.

Very happy to share that the project is part of the ECCV 2026 Art Gallery in Malmö, Sweden, curated by @elluba and @yr_data

This commission is made possible with special thanks to Polly Liew (金蓉蓉) for their sponsorship, and to JoJo Ni (張瓊芳) for initially proposing the project. Venerate Zhi Ching (知晴法師) for Buddhism knowledge consultation.

The hand gestures tracking and recognizing system was made possible with MediaPipe-TD plugin @blankensmithing developed. For more technical details, the full video, and complete documentation, please visit our ECCV Art Gallery project page.

Agential has been selected for the The 19th European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV 2026) Art Gallery in Malmö this September! ✨

ECCV is one of the main international gatherings for computer vision research so it’s particularly exciting to have Agential included in a context so closely aligned with the questions behind the work.

Agential will be shown both onsite in Malmö and as part of the online exhibition alongside 51 other selected works. Online exhibition: eccv-art-26.github.io

Thank you to curators @elluba and @yr_data for making space for artists as researchers and for including the work.

field notes is now part of the eccv 2026 art gallery.

the film is built from several weeks of conversation with chatgpt, asking it to describe what it's like to be itself. the answers that felt most revealing, unchanged, became the prompts for the image, voice and music. nothing was written from scratch.

i'll be in malmö in person for the conference, sept 8-13, if anyone wants to meet.

thank you @elluba @yr_data

HEXfast at Tiffany's, 2026.

What happens when a colour, pixel,HEX code or a wavelength becomes private property?

Several machine-learning systems and an evolutionary agent ecology co-produce the digital painting; treating trademarked colour as contested territory.

Big news! A preview of "Letters", my new project based on unpublished postcards and notes by Samuel Beckett, opens at an exhibition during ECCV'26 in Malmö (Sweden), 10–12 September, curated by Luba Elliott and Ioannis Siglidis.

The archive is now owed by a private collector, who has granted me exclusive written licence to work with it. I never read or reproduce Beckett's letters. I work with the handwriting as statistical data, the stamps, the paper.

Before I was an artist I was a translator and writer, moving between five natural languages and five artificial ones (I also code). Beckett spent his life doing the same, stripping language to its minimum, translating himself between French and English. That friction is one I know well, and it's why this archive matters to me more than most material I work with.

Custom code and machine logic processes map, transform, and break the documents into post-digital fragments, no prompting, no style references. I curate what survives and then edit, remix, and collage those fragments digitally, mixing them with my own digital drawings, then transfer the images to 350 year old hand-made archival papers, break them intro scraps, draw over them by hand, in ink and mineral pigments, and stitch them together with copper and iron wire, silk thread, and jute cord. All digital files are deleted and only one unique, unalterable physical artwork remains.

Language is now processed by machines faster than any writer can track. This project is made by someone who has spent a career on both sides of that exchange.

Massive thanks to @elluba for including this early preview of preparatory sketches in the exhibition: her generosity and constant support for digital artists is very much appreciated.

👈 These are the 25 original letters by Samuel Beckett on which this project is based, blurred so that their content cannot be read. I will post images of my actual sketches and artworks in the coming weeks. The project will go on an extended institutional tour throughout 2027. More details soon.
