We are incredibly proud of our librarian, Jericho, who has been recognised as one of the awardees at the School Librarian of the Year Awards 2026, presented in partnership with @emirateslitfest and supported by the Executive Council of Dubai @tecofdubai

Among hundreds of school librarians working across the UAE, Jericho’s creativity, innovation and commitment to creating meaningful experiences for students have earned him the Best in Innovation award.

At AIA Mankhool, Jericho has created more than a library. He has created a space where curiosity grows, stories come alive and every child can discover the joy of reading.

Congratulations, Jericho. We are so proud to have you as part of the AIA Mankhool community.

Maybe the hardest part of writing isn’t finding the right words.

It’s figuring out what you’re actually trying to say.

Before the sentence.
Before the chapter.
Before the story.

There’s a feeling underneath it all.

For some writers, it’s grief.
For some, it’s love.
For some, it’s surrender.

Find that first. The words usually follow.

And if you’re still staring at a blank page, maybe you don’t need a better first line.

Maybe you need to know what the line is trying to say.

How do we raise children who genuinely love books?

For Ahlam Bolooki, it starts early: reading together, creating positive experiences around books, and making stories part of childhood.

Because reading with your kids isn’t only about literacy. It can become one of the memories they carry with them for life.

One of the greatest lessons Ahlam Bolooki learned from her mother was simple: everyone is human first.

Whether dealing with a minister, a tea boy, or a difficult personality, she learned to look beyond titles and understand the person behind them.
