The last day, Day 3, of the HERE & ELSEWHERE Film Festival is split in two!
The morning brought us the Here & Now while the evening programme has been curated by none other than our 2026 spotlight director! ✨

What Would the Archive Remember? By Cindy Chehab @cindychebab

Cindy will also be there in person! Presenting her program and involved in other activities. Catch her in Rome or Beirut! 🇮🇹 🇱🇧
Her programme brings together Here & Elsewhere x Second Lives: Speculative Edits from the Archive, featuring work by Faranak Nateghi, Ruba Al Charki, Enxhi Noni and Cindy Chehab herself.

Starting from archival images, both public and personal, these films explore how private histories can enter wider conversations, and how images can shift when seen from another angle.

👉 Swipe through to discover the films screening on the evening of the last day of the 2026 edition of HERE & ELSEWHERE!

🎟️ Beirut tickets are available on Ihjoz, while Rome reservations can be made through Eventbrite (link in bio).

"A Game of Chess" directed by Enxhi Noni.

The longer you stare at something, the stranger it becomes. The longer you stare at something, the sooner it starts talking to you.

On October 4th, three university friends meet again, after a long time of being apart. The same day, they all receive the same postcard in their mailboxes. Against all odds, it has a moving image printed on it. They stare at the moving image together.

We love to see competition. It makes our heart rejoice. And we’ve got quite the competition. In the Keep It Short category, we’ve got a selection of directors that like a lot “me i ra shkurt”.

Swipe to see the competitors, but in the end we all rooting for them! 💕
