Join me TODAY between 12 and 3 for my keynote speech at @equityalliancefunds’s The REAL Cost of Living event!

We are discussing ways to answer the question: what does it actually take for a working family to afford to live and thrive in Memphis?

📍 Memphis - 583 Scott Street

One of the top reasons I am running for Congress is to lower the cost of living in America. This has been a longterm issue that is only being exacerbated by Trump and Brent Taylor’s polices.

It’s time for a change. Early voting ends next week on Oct. 29th.

Studies show that the last day of early voting is one of the BIGGEST days of voter turnout in Tennessee and we want to get Justin J. Pearson in Congress for CD9! Join Tennessee powerhouses TIRRC Votes Action PAC, Equity Alliance Fund PAC, as well as national progressive groups WFP PAC and Move On on October 28th from 6 PM CT/7 PM ET - 9 PM CT/10 PM ET as we call voters across Congressional District 9 to inform them of their district and help us elect Justin J. Pearson before early voting ends!

Whether this is the first time you’ve phonebanked or you’re an experienced caller, we NEED you. Let’s stand for Justin J. Pearson the way he has stood up for our communities across the state.

Paid for by TIRRC Votes Action PAC P.O. Box 17149 Nashville, TN 37217. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.

One thing I really want people to understand is that voting doesn’t stop at the top of the ballot! 🗳️

In 2022, over 211,000 fewer votes were cast in Tennessee State House races than in the governor’s race. Meanwhile, one legislative seat was decided by just 153 votes!

And those constitutional amendments people skip? Leaving them blank can actually make them harder to pass.

We cannot keep demanding change while overlooking the very offices and laws that govern our everyday lives.

The top of the ballot gets all the attention, but the bottom of the ballot holds POWER!

Do your homework. Read those amendments. Vote ALL the way down! ✊🏾#tequilajohnson #politics

Everybody is talking about WHO we’re voting for, but not enough people are talking about WHAT we’re voting on!

Those amendments and referendums at the bottom of your ballot…They matter too!

Mane, voting isn’t just about who we put in POWER. It’s about what POWER we’re giving away!

I broke it down so you don’t have to guess at the polls! Watch. Learn. Share. Then VOTE! ✊🏾

“I AM A REVOLUTIONARY.” ✊🏾🔴

100 Black women, dressed in uninterrupted black and red berets. Generations of power.

We are the legacy of women who fought for the right to vote, the freedom to lead, and the power to shape our own futures.

We don’t just walk in their footsteps. We carry their courage, build on their victories, and make room for generations yet to come.

Yesterday, we marched through TSU Homecoming as a reminder that Black women don’t just make history, we shape the future, and we’re just getting started. 🖤❤️💚

Get involved with us and do your part.
