P.S 185 Elementary School unveiled The Harlem Heros mural October 15th.
The kids and Community came together to celebrate the legacies of Nomsa and Ruby and to memorialize community Detective Paul Elgin Duncan.
The Principal says the mural will be up Forever and thus the history immortalized. The elementary school kids absolutely loved @evanbishopart the co-founder of 320 Arts who created the mural. New York State Senator @senatorccleare gave first hand accounts of her experience being influenced by Ruby & Nomsa and also told of her environmental legislation on lead poisoning. It was an amazing celebration. Nomsa youngest son (@blackzeusx) said she was a superhero, now the mural shows it.
Elombe & Nomsa Brath Foundation members were quizzed as to if more Heroes would be added to the front wall of the school in the future but we can't answer that.

🦸🏽‍♂️ **YONKERS COMIC CON 2026 — WHERE CREATIVITY BECOMES SUPERPOWER!** 🎨📸 PART 2

Yonkers came alive with **art, imagination, cosplay, comics, culture, and community** as **Yonkers Arts presented Yonkers Comic Con 2026!**

From incredible artists and creators to superheroes, villains, vendors, families, and fans—this wasn't just a Comic Con. It was a celebration of the **creative spirit of Yonkers.**

And making a special appearance was **Yonkers Mayor Mike “Superman” Spano**, joining the celebration and showing some love to the artists, creators, and community that continue to make Yonkers a destination for the arts. 🦸🏽‍♂️🔥

As a photographer, these are the moments I love to capture—the creativity, the characters, the personalities, and the people who bring an event like this to life.

📸 **Captured through the lens of Gunz.**

Because every hero has a story… and every creator has a vision.
