We are seeking writing submissions for a publication that will go alongside my upcoming exhibition. Making the work has been something of a reckoning with my own identity. Thinking about how my relationships with other women have built me, for better or worse. The paintings draw on themes around shared womanhood, sisterhood, and seeing oneself reflected in other women. I would love to receive submissions from you, thinking and working through these themes; the good, the bad and the ugly. All sides of the coin are welcome. We are looking for a variety of writing, from poetry to short stories to essays and everything in between. Maximum 1500 words. Deadline is June 12.

starting my year off right revisiting & celebrating the work I did with @artxlagos & @faridahf late last year 🧿

I’m really proud of the work I have created & I am excited to share!

This piece is called ‘RAW’ (2021), and it is a “grotesque” love story about two lovers SO close & intertwined that their bond resembles the warm, wet closeness of a surgeon’s hand on heart. 🫀
