You cannot say you truly want to be your most elite self if you do not train the brain in the same way you train the body.

The brain is the super computer that controls every last ounce of your talent. Just imagine the utter monster you could become if you did everything right? If you trained the brain as well as the body. #limitless

“I stopped explaining myself when I realised people only understand from their level of perception.”

When I first told some coaches I was going to work with a player who had been relegated from the football league and help him get a Division One/Championship club, I was told:-

“It can’t be done”.
“Never happens mate, how many do you think have tried?!”.
“Good luck”.

We’ve proven it can be done.
It does happen.
You don’t need luck.

People form opinions based upon their own knowledge.
Just because people don’t understand,
doesn’t mean it can’t be done.

Dan has worked incredibly hard behind the scenes and become a good friend,
he deserves all the rewards, and then some.

The most beautiful part of this story….
this isn’t even the final destination.
It’s just another station on the track.
The final destination will be very special indeed.

It’s time to evolve. 📈🧠

Session one completed for @maxtaylor00.

The aim was to improve his fundamental movement capabilities and familiarise ourselves again with the correct biomechanics and movement patterns for athleticism,
integrating muscles, connective tissues and fascial slings.
All responding specifically to particular inputs and training stimulus.
A bright future lies ahead for this very talented athlete.
Time to evolve. 📈🧠

Naymar Jr.
Courtois.
Tyrone Mings.
Gavi.
Jurrein Timber….
Sadly just a few of many exceptionally talented athletes who have suffered non contact injuries in the past 12 months.

Understanding the biomechanics and mechanisms of injury, and consciously integrating preventative measures into an athlete’s supplementary gym work
is something I have done for years, well documented.
This has resulted in ZERO games missed through injury for my clients.

The significance of this for a football club is HUGE.
Players are assets.
Fewer players available means fewer assets.
This results in:-
Reduced team performance.
Poor results.
Less points.
League Position drops.
Finances through gate reduce.
Unhappy fan base.
Pressure on management.
Sponsorship opportunities decline.

There is undeniably a serious problem in football regarding severe non contact injuries.
There is now a solution.
Choose wisely. 🧠📈

Wednesday October 25th. 2022.
Our very first conversation:-
“You can train to be a tow truck, or train to be a race car, which one do you want to be Dan?”
“Definitely the race car mate.”
“The right answer, let’s get to work”.

18 months ago we began working together with this season in mind.
We created a methodically structured plan for @dankemp11 to be ready for the 23/34 season.

The rest is history.
46 games.
19 goals.
11 assists.
ZERO injuries.

It’s not luck.
Every prerequisite physical requirement that enables Dan to express his talent on the pitch and give him the best opportunity to avoid injury has been honed behind the scenes.

Work is already underway for the 24/25 season.
The job hasn’t finished, it’s only just begun.
You get where you aim. 📈🧠

Movement never lies.
Let’s put to one side the genetics, natural ability and years of practice for one moment….

What physical attributes allow the execution of such enhanced skill practice,
which in just 3.4 seconds demonstrates:-
Relevant strength.
Acceleration, change of direction, force absorption.
Integrate proprioception, balance, fine motor control.
Energy efficiency.
Range of motion.

It’s all there to see.
The blueprint of athleticism.
The biomechanical indicators I teach.
From the foot placement to the head position and everything in between.
If these aren’t correct, you can NEVER consistently perform at the highest level without injury.

This isn’t our first rodeo.
We’ve been diligently working in the shadows for a very long time.
2001 to be precise.
The first generation of backroom staff to utilise ’playercam’ as an observation tool.
We had access to cadavers.
We studied both sides of the coin, and formed our own conclusions.
The rest is history.
The results speak for themselves.
Time to evolve. 📈🧠

A analogy I often use with athletes is to compare their movements to the ball.
A ball can never be off balance.
It rolls and adjusts its position in response to every touch, regardless of what direction the force is applied.
It can rotate, it can spin, it can be direct, it absorbs and redistributes energy.
A ball can sustain heavy pressure, from any direction,
and move smoothly in response.

Exactly how an athlete deals with external forces on a pitch, which may come from any direction..
They can react, respond, execute movements with fluidity and efficiency,
without leaking energy via dysfunctional bio mechanics.

Incorporating this principle into your supplementary training will improve on field performance significantly more than an extra 5kg on your deadlift.

It’s time to evolve.
Train smart.📈🧠

“The oak fought the wind and was broken, the bamboo bent when it must, and survived.”

In today’s cutthroat world of professional sport,
an injured athlete has a diminishing value.
Your supplementary training should be reducing the risk of injury,
not contributing towards the risk of injury.
Be resilient.
Become bamboo not oak.
Time to evolve. 📈🧠

“People fear what they don’t understand and hate what they can’t conquer”.

2015, during a conversation with Ido he said to me: -
“How does an octopus beat a lion?
No one knows, it’s never been done before. We will find a way”.

Despite all the ridicule, mockery, hate, the uneducated comments from both the keyboard warriors and the so called, “experts”….
He found a way.
The result spoke for itself.
The rest is history.

The parallels are uncanny.

Despite all the personal experience,
the family experience,
(three generations of professional sportsmen and women)
the inevitable transition into sports medicine,
and having the luxury of studying cadavers with the FA medical association,
I knew the application of this knowledge wasn’t being correctly applied to the world of supplementary training in professional sport.
In my opinion, could be done better.
A lot better.
I found a way.

I created my blueprint for athleticism.
The belief in this blueprint is unwavering.
The results are speaking for themselves.
The rest is history. 🙏🏼📈
