POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our fourth issue focussed on a subject very close to my heart - neurodivergence.

Covering personal and professional viewpoints, the issue was jam-packed with brilliant writing, personal experiences and reflections, art, poetry, and two (count 'em!) Q&As with the brilliant Natalia-Nana Lester-Bush and 'Find Your Spark' founder Michelle Shavdia.

Our next issue is all about AI and its effects on our lives. Is it make them better? Worse? Does it make you more worries about your future?

Submissions are being accepted from RIGHT NOW, until 1st October - and earlier the better, because I have to edit this thing on my own!

Find out more at www.theframemagazine.co.uk, visit the link in the bio, or wing us an email at theframesubmissions@gmail.com

And if that isn't enough for you, we're now on Substack! Find us there. I don't know the link. You'll work it out.

Menopause and mental health are closely intertwined, and addressing mental health proactively during this time supports emotional stability, cognitive function, resilience, and overall well-being as women navigate hormonal and life changes.

Furthermore, there is a link between menopause and ADHD, which interact through hormonal pathways that influence brain function, making it essential to recognize and address ADHD symptoms specifically during menopause to improve well-being, cognitive clarity, and emotional health.

♀️For this reason, the guest speaker on the Menopause Café on November 2nd is Michelle Shavdia - Founder of Find Your Spark & ADHD Coach.
Michelle qualified in Coaching Psychology at Masters level in 2015 and was working in schools and youth centres to support at-risk young people. Soon thereafter, Michelle and Find Your Spark moved to Colchester.

In 2021, Michelle was late diagnosed with ADHD, dyspraxia, and dyscalculia. As a result, she uses her Coaching Psychology Masters qualification to support those with a similar lived experience as herself.

🫶As usual, Menopause Health Coach and Yoga Teacher Liana is the host of the Menopause Café sharing her tips on movement, food and lifestyle. She lends books from her Menopause Library and liaised with #makingmenopausematter charity bringing to the meetings handy booklets that have guidelines, easy to understand stages of menopause and a symptom checker to know where you’re at in your hormonal transition. This booklet is also very useful on GP consultations and as a resource for more information.

🎫The Menopause Café is a free event, but booking is advised so we can set up accordingly. Please book your space via the ‘Events’ page of the humankindcafe.co.uk.
You’ll find us at the back of the café between 10am and midday on November 2nd .

FYI 🎄 There will be no Menopause Café in December due to Billericay’s Christmas Market.

ABOUT ME…

🩵📖🩵

Hello and welcome to all my new followers — whether you’re a book lover, a reader, an author, a fan of my books or simply looking for some real-life stuff which isn’t doctored — you are welcome here.

I’m Soulla Christodoulou, a UK Greek Cypriot who writes and edits and occasionally finds a home for the works of the writers I collaborate with.

I am currently working with/representing @natashakostalas @electra_tanny @findyoursparkadhd @lalla_1900 @senmonro_official @christinakatsi_author @marios_writes — follow their journeys for inspiration.

Six-times published author didn’t come easy to me and it is through sharing and learning from my own experiences that I have built a genuinely caring and supportive community here as well as founded my business, WRITING FOR LIFE.

Previously in secondary teaching I have honed those skills to support new and seasoned authors write their best stories, offer editing and writing services which include face-to-face mentoring.

I am a sucker for romance stories (and write them too!) but also like to read memoirs, cosy mysteries, crime fiction, thrillers, non-fiction texts and many of the classics (currently reading Pride & Prejudice)

I am an editor who puts kindness in the centre of everything I do. I am not here to judge or put pressure on you, (though I like to work with deadlines) but rather teach you about the art of writing, how to connect better with words, how to enjoy language and how to write stories that will connect emotionally with your readers.

I also 🩵 to travel and this year have travelled to Cyprus and The Netherlands.

What’s the best thing about connecting with me? Do we have anything in common?

New episode out now! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I chat to ADHD coach and psychologist Michelle Shavdia from @findyoursparkadhd who, when at age 27 went to a medical professional with suspected dyspraxia, was told she couldn’t possibly have dyspraxia as she had a masters!

We’ve moved on since then - but not a lot!

Michelle has since been diagnosed with dyspraxia, dyscalculia and ADHD.

We chat about being impulsive teenagers, why there is a high percentage of prisoners with ADHD, and why there are still massive misconceptions around what ADHD actually is and how detrimental that is for our young children.

Enjoy! Out on all podcast platforms or link in bio and stories.

Were you an impulsive teenager? And how does that translate now in later life?
