Been getting Creatine + electrolytes from @warriorsupps in the gym for the members and visitors to add to the water during sessions keeping them hydrated during tough sessions

Here’s a little tip to saving that extra bit of creatine that misses the bottle when tipping it into your water 🌊

🥊 Combat athlete struggling with an injury?

Get treated by a team who understands the demands of your sport.

2nd session back on the mats at @foundrygrappling ✅🥋

At @forgeinjuryperformance, we’re a team of active clinicians who train ourselves and understand that the goal isn’t just to reduce pain — it’s getting you back to training and performing.

Personally, I’ve trained in the gym since 13 and got into MMA & grappling at 16. After being on and off the mats with injuries, my goal now is simple — minimum 1 session every week.

🥊 Boxing | 🥋 BJJ | 🤼 MMA | 💪 S&C

✅ 1 YEAR DOWN @haletrainingclub 🎉

What an incredible 12 months it’s been thanks to the team at HTC, Also new uniform is 🔥🔥

A lot of time, hard work, early mornings and late nights have gone into building Forge Injury & Performance – Manchester into where it is today.

I’d probably say it’s been the most challenging year of my career so far, but without doubt the most rewarding.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way — and especially to every client who has trusted us with their injuries, aches, pains and rehabilitation. Your support genuinely means a lot. 🙌

And we’re only getting started.

With @beckystone_forge and @jm.rehabilitation joining Forge, we’re building a brilliant team and continuing to improve what we can offer our clients.

Excited to see what the next 12 months bring. 📈

Acute Ankle Eversion Sprain 🦶

An eversion sprain can stress the medial ankle ligaments, including the deltoid ligament complex and potentially the spring ligament.

For acute injuries, think PEACE & LOVE ❤️

PEACE 🛡️
→ Protect
→ Elevate
→ Avoid unnecessary anti-inflammatories
→ Compress
→ Educate

LOVE 📈
→ Load progressively
→ Optimism
→ Vascular exercise
→ Exercise & rehab

As symptoms settle, gradually rebuild mobility, strength, balance and confidence before returning to sport.

⚠️ Significant medial ankle pain or difficulty weight-bearing? Get it assessed.

STRUGGLING WITH HIP PAIN? 🦵

Try this 👇

Banded Hip Internal Rotation ISO Hold
3 sets × 15 seconds each side

HOW TO DO IT ✅
→ Keep your thigh and pelvis still
→ Rotate from the hip
→ Push into the band and hold
→ Keep the movement controlled

WHY TRAIN HIP INTERNAL ROTATION?
Hip IR is important for:
→ Running & walking mechanics
→ Squatting & changing direction
→ Controlling the hip, knee & pelvis

Limited hip IR can affect how you move and may contribute to compensations elsewhere.

CAN BE USEFUL WITH:
→ Some hip/groin pain presentations
→ Return-to-running rehab
→ Lower-limb strength & control programmes
→ Athletes lacking hip rotation

Don’t just stretch it — build strength and control through the range. 📈

Tendon Loading 📈

Chronic tendon pain can be frustrating, especially when it keeps limiting your training.

The answer isn’t always complete rest.
Its finding the right level of load and progressing it over time.

1️⃣ Isometrics → manage symptoms & introduce load
2️⃣ Heavy + slow strength → build strength & tendon tolerance
3️⃣ Plyometrics → develop the stretch-shortening cycle & prepare for running/sport

There’s no quick fix with tendons. Have a plan, load progressively and stay patient. 💪

POV: Returning back to BJJ after 2 years off 💀

Good to get back on the mats after a solid 2 years away from training to build my sports rehab business.

As we can see I’m slightly rusty and will be walking around with a limb in no time.

Thanks to @foundrygrappling for having us down and excited to get back to weekly training ‼️
