POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This Thanksgiving, we’re thinking about the people who make Yogalife what it is.

The early morning regulars who are rolling out their mats before the sun is up. The lunch hour crowd squeezing in a class between meetings. The Sunday crew. The evening crew. The people who walked in for their first class this year and kept coming back. And the teachers and staff that support us all.

None of this works without you. Thank you for choosing to spend some of your time with us.

Who’s someone you’ve met at the studio that you’re grateful for this year? Tag them below.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us. 🧡

Mondays teacher spotlight is….Jess Healey 🙌🏼

•What is your yoga background?
I started to do yoga in high school to help me feel better in my body & enhance my hockey performance. As I excelled in my hockey career and made my way to the PWHL in Boston, yoga became even more important in my daily routine. It allowed me to feel more open, fluid and smooth on the ice. Mentally, it helped with breath control, resetting, and patience. After 8 years of practicing and realizing the positive mental & physical benefits of yoga I decided to take my 200hr to share my passion of yoga with other athletes and individuals. I currently teach a mix of teams & athletes along with group classes. I love to teach hatha, flow & anything hips focused!

•What’s life outside of yoga?
I coach hockey full time for NAX in Devon. When I am not coaching you can find me running, camping, mountain biking, getting coffee, and spending time with my family.

•What is one wellness tip that you live by?
Focus on your own path & journey. Do things that make you happy but also challenge you. Our greatest challenges make us stronger and resilient - and we will never know our limits until we test them!

•Level of spice expected in class: 🌶️ or 🌶️ 🌶️ Beginner or intermediate. (Depends on the class I am teaching). Hatha vs flow will be a different intensity.

A physical warmup also helps dial you in mentally. Getting the body ready can increase concentration, focus, and build mental stamina. It is an opportunity to get locked in and prep for the task at hand🔐🎧 #HHP

Taking care of your body off the ice is critical and essential to on ice performance.

At this point in the season it becomes extremely important to take care of your body off the ice…. & sometimes it can be hard to know what to do or how to do it. “The Movement Studio” was designed to help athletes improve off ice mobility, strength and body awareness anywhere & anytime. Whether you’re on the road with your team or at home, you can log in and complete sessions that your body needs to focus on.

Classes range from 20 minutes to 60 minutes. Depending on your schedule & focus for the day, we will always have something that will work for you! #HHP

I can’t believe classes at the Yoga Loft (aka my house) have been going on since April. Everyday I am getting closer to what feels right in life. It hasn’t been an easy road. There have been many uncomfortable decisions and stressful long days, weeks, months! Despite it all, I am grateful to be here and to offer our space to the community. Big thank you to everyone who has given me a shot by showing up to class, sharing my posts and just showing support in general. So much love!!

When I first decided to teach yoga at our house, it was to provide an opportunity to have fun and try without judgement, intimidation. If you have practiced at the Yoga loft before, naturally we become your biggest cheerleader 🤗🤗 No competition. Just pure joy to be in the presence of other people on their own personal yoga journey.
And even before wanting to offer yoga classes, I created this platform to share what I’ve always wanted to offer the most and that is my love for baking ❤️

New things are happening in the New Year, including more decorating classes, more yoga classes and an online shop with the greatest and most necessary decorating items!
Stay tuned! And in the mean time…

Last Jam Session of 2023 will be on December 2! 11:00am
This is your chance to let go of the ego and practice in our beautiful intimate Yoga Loft! 🖤

Sign up online, reach out or maybe sign up for my Cake Decorating class taking place Dec 16 at 12:00pm 🙃

What a busy Summer this year! I’m looking forward to returning to a routine now that it’s September. Life is starting to settle down and I am ready to invite calmness and creative energy into my life 💕
This reel was a fun one to make! These last 5 months of teaching at my house has been a rollercoaster of emotions! I’ve never been much of a business minded person so that has been a challenge but looking at all these snippets of our past classes makes it all worth it. I love being reminded of what kind of classes we’ve tried together. Thank you for giving me a chance to guide you through practice and trusting in my teachings.
Fall schedule has been posted on the website!
If you haven’t given Yin/Yang or Jam Sessions a try yet, I promise there is something for everyone. This small class size allows for one on one attention for extra guidance! Feel free to reach out for any questions 🤗
Next couple weeks at the Yoga Loft:
✨ Sept 7 - Yin/Yang 8pm
✨ Sept 9 - Jam Sessions (Inversions) 11am
✨ Sept 14 - Yin/Yang 8pm
✨ Sept 16 - Jam sessions (Hip openers) 2pm

See you on your mat 🙏
