🎺 THE TRUMPET & THE KING IS HEADING TO LONDON! Following sold-out performances in Northern Ireland, Terra Nova Productions is preparing for the next stage of The Trumpet & The King, with a special rehearsed reading in London on Thursday 22 October. Written by Andrea Montgomery, the play tells the story of John Blanke, a talented Black musician who travelled from Granada to the court of Henry VII, where he formed an unlikely friendship with the young prince who would become Henry VIII. The reading will feature Emmanuel Olusanya as John Blanke and Sam Claridge as Henry Tudor, as the production takes its next steps towards an English tour. We’re looking forward to bringing the cast and creative team together this week and sharing more from behind the scenes! #TheTrumpetAndTheKing #TerraNovaProductions #JohnBlanke #BlackHistoryMonth #Theatre

We’re looking for a Make-up Facilitator! ANDepic is looking for an experienced make-up artist to join our creative team as we work towards our intercultural theatre production in March 2027. We’re particularly interested in hearing from people who already teach make-up, run workshops or work with community groups. You don’t need a background in professional theatre. You might run your own make-up business, teach classes or regularly work with other artists. What matters is that you’re confident sharing your skills and bringing people together. We’re prioritising applications from Ards & North Down, particularly artists from immigrant and global majority backgrounds. English doesn’t need to be your first language, and having access to your own studio or workshop space would be an advantage, but isn’t essential. Interested in getting involved?
