where to even start. last weekend i ran the first half of the catskill 100. the goal was 100, but the name of game is give what you got.

when i dreamt up this route, a part of me always wanted to experience it. race directors are creators. we spend massive amounts of time curating an experience for others and this route felt like something truly special. something i needed to experience for myself. when it came time to put together a team to help me with this personal effort, the running kind crew showed up.

bringing this to a close at just over 50 miles and 17,000ft was emotional. i was worried about disappointing all the people that didn’t get to run or be a part of this in the way they thought they would. i was sad that my feet said no when the rest of my body and mind said keep going. i was relieved to be approaching the end of this pain. i was overwhelmed by the love from the people waiting for me at the trailhead. the soul of the running kind was felt from mile 1 to mile 52. so, for all of you that played a part in this effort, thank you for that. it’s powerful to recognize the impact the running kind has had and the people it has brought together. sometimes i have to pinch myself when i think about the beautiful people i have in my corner.

A little dance party at 12,800 ft to a song about shampoo that somehow became an anthem on our trip with @therunningkind_ . 🤘💃😂

Despite the challenging terrain and altitude we always seem to have abundant energy here. This sacred mountain returns the energy we give. It is a high altitude single track trail with jaw dropping views that inspire the heart, purify the mind, and strengthen the body.

it’s global running day. this year has served some ✨ vibes ✨ out on the trails already.

there’s some stuff happening right now that is threatening our public lands & public land access. it serves as a reminder that this dirt we run on isn’t ours. movement through & with nature is a privilege that im so grateful for!

happy soul, tired legs.

spent the last eight days running over 20k ft of vert [ wtf !! ] in the catskills. it was the perfect combination of ridiculous and amazing. grateful to the friends that shared the miles & mems.

biggest vert week to date, checked off five high peaks and nabbed the hunter mtn @fastestknowntime.

The Climb It For Climate course preview was rad despite the soggy weather! The group tackled 9 miles and 3600ft of climbing on the middle of the 25K course.
