Legacy: A Tribute to the Prince of Darkness celebrated more than Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne, it honoured Birmingham’s role in shaping heavy metal and the community keeping that legacy alive.
Produced by @cotgb.uk and brought to life by ACM alumnus @d.r.a.c.0, the event showcased the talent, creativity and collaboration at the heart of the ACM community.
Featuring performances from ACM staff, live sound by ACM Live Tech student Louis Humphrey, and FOH tech from Adam (@Adam_Dakesis).

Delighted to announce that joining me @thenightowlbham this Thursday 27th AUGUST from 6.30pm we have CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE BOOKINGS!!! (@cotgb.uk) 🤘🔥

@ash.farley55 @_d.r.a.c.0_ & @sguitarguy will join me on the sofa to chat all about their recent 'LEGACY OF A MADMAN' event which saw a full day of events across Birmingham to celebrate the life and legacy of @ozzyosbourne, his solo work and the music of @blacksabbath - the centrepiece being an incredible performance by several supergroups, made up of local artists, performing @birmingham_mag

We'll hear all about how with the help of their extended metal family they put this event together! We'll talk about the work that went in, their promotion methods and much more

This was one of the most incredible events I have ever seen, making local artists living exhibits and reaffirming the fact that MUSIC IS ART. Was incredible to see so much local talent (Brum born, and some adopted) performing that day. Can't wait to chat to the team behind it!

So make sure you join myself and @rosiemirandarivers from @disloyalorderonline over at @thenightowlbham in Digbeth for LETS BUILD AN ALTERNATIVE NETWORK - your free entry networking event - from 6.30pm on Thursday 27th August! Over 18's only. This month is the birthday event so I'm even going to wear a suit!

Calling All 📢 Bands, Promoters, Labels, Recording Studios / Producers, Photographers/Videographers, Local DJ's (radio + event), Rehersal Space / Lock Up owners, Independent Record stores, Print shops, Magazines, Graphic Artists... LETS TALK! 📢

Sinuses are slowly recovering from the dust, body temperature is finally below a thousand degrees, counted up the Great List of Grind Names (113 this year compared to last year’s 78) and the post-festival blues are already kicking in. Wonderful hangs with pals old and new, Camp Civil remains one of my favourite places to be 🖤

Bloodstock was exactly what I needed! I was worried my spine would be an issue but being surrounded by the best people and watching incredible bands helped release so much stress my back was holding that it actually helped.
I've regained a lot of the confidence I lost and I'm now back on track. It's time I start living again and not just allow myself to rot away... I'll start tomorrow though because even after the best shower of my life and a nap I still don't feel ready to return to normality just yet.
Thank you to everyone that made this weekend so epic, it's certainly one I'll never forget, I don't think I've laughed so much in my life. I can't wait for next year 🖤

Thank You Birmingham and Goodnight
.
2 weeks ago, 3 founders, a team of 7, 30 musicians, @laneyamplification acm @birmingham_mag @centralbidbirmingham made history.

We Honoured @ozzyosbourne and his legacy for the next generation.

For me it came from a simple promise made after the loss of our Prince of Darkness.

Thank you my prince.

Thank you for everything you did.

Your torch will be carried.

Sleep well.

I can't believe its been a week. Seems fitting posting this on @ashley.farley55 birthday. Ash, @sguitarguy and @_d.r.a.c.0_ its been a privilege to be a part of this adventure.
From a group of friends standing outside of scruffys on your average night out to bringing together some absolute powerhouses of talent in an iconic location.
Ozzy is very much alive and that was evident in every young face in the crowd getting to experience his music and craft live in the city he called home.
Every single person involved in this is cooler than a glacier and I just can't wait to see what next year holds for @cotgb.uk and Legacy.

Who'd have thought you'd see a heavy metal concert in a museum and art gallery? Only in Birmingham.

Seems fitting to post this, as @beckybaldwinbass might be playing Sweet Leaf a few more times in the months ahead.

A few moments from the Legacy of a Madman show last weekend. 🤘
