I think I still have dust in curious places. 😂🏜️

Burning Man was a DREAM. ✨ I came back feeling more alive, inspired, and finally understand what all the hype is about.
Here are a few things I’m taking home with me, and hopefully back to the playa someday. 🏜️❤️
✨ Don’t overpack the outfits. Most of my cute fits ended up covered by a jacket, goggles, and scarf anyway. 😂 Test-run those outfits first…cute doesn’t always mean practical!
🌪️ Don’t underestimate the elements. I thought I had grit. I’m not afraid to get dirty. Boy, was I wrong. 😂 The dust humbled me REAL quick…somehow the dust storms were still fun.
😂 Nobody cares. We spend so much time worrying about how we look or what people think. Out there, people were just being themselves. And it was freeing.
🤝 People who share a passion can create AMAZING things. This was probably my fave part. I’m still mesmerized by the creativity, effort, and generosity of a community that comes together to make incredible things happen , just because they can. 🤯and free
🎁 Give without expecting something back. A meal, a drink, a helping hand, a conversation, a smile. There was so much generosity simply for the sake of giving.
🧡 Say yes to the unexpected. Some of my favorite moments were the ones I never planned.
🌵 You’re capable of more than you think. Sometimes you have to step WAY outside your comfort zone to realize just how much you can handle.
And maybe my biggest takeaway…
Sometimes you have to get completely out of your normal environment to remember who you are when nobody is telling you who you’re supposed to be.
I came home dusty, tired, and probably still finding playa in places I don’t want to talk about 😂… but also inspired, grateful, and a little more alive.
Burning Man, you were wild.
I’ll be back. 🏜️✨❤️

If a stranger lures you into the back of a van to get your hair braided… say YES. 😂🚐
I promise I’ll only kidnap you for 45 minutes, make you look fabulous, and feed you our non-perishables. 🤣🍌
Honestly, Burning Man has to be one of the most challenging environments to braid in. 🌪️🏜️
The wind. The dust. The heat. And absolutely NONE of the little luxuries we take for granted back home.
No salon. No perfect lighting. No mirrors everywhere. Just a van, some hair, and a whole lot of playa dust. 😂
At this point, I feel like if I can braid at Burning Man… I can braid anywhere. 🔥

Si un desconocido te invita a montarte en la parte de atrás de una camioneta para hacerte unas trenzas… ¡DI QUE SÍ! 😂🚐
Te prometo que solo te voy a “secuestrar” por 45 minutos, vas a salir divina y hasta te vamos a dar de comer nuestros alimentos no perecederos. 🤣🍌
Pero hablando en serio… Burning Man tiene que ser uno de los lugares MÁS difíciles para hacer trenzas. 🌪️🏜️
El viento, el polvo, el calor… y ni hablar de la falta de todas esas comodidades que tenemos en casa. 😂
Nada de salón, nada de iluminación perfecta, nada de espejos por todos lados. Solo una van, un montón de cabello, mis manos y muchísimo polvo del playa. 🤣
Ahora siento que si puedo hacer trenzas aquí… puedo trenzar en cualquier lugar. 🔥💪🏼

One of my favorite things about festival season is getting to create hairstyles that are WAY more fun than your everyday hair.
After all the Burning Man craziness, it’s so fun to jump right into another festival and get creative again. Different festival, different vibe, same excuse to go BIG with the hair. 🔥
Because honestly… when else do you get to wear dinosaur-inspired hair and call it part of the outfit? 🦕💚

Festival hair will always have my heart. ✨

Una de mis cosas favoritas de la temporada de festivales es poder crear peinados MUCHO más divertidos que los que usamos en el día a día.
Después de toda la locura de Burning Man, ¡qué divertido es pasar directamente a otro festival y volver a dejar volar la creatividad! Diferente festival, diferente vibra, pero la misma excusa para llevar el cabello A LO GRANDE. 🔥
Porque, sinceramente… ¿cuándo más puedes llevar un peinado inspirado en dinosaurios y decir que es parte del outfit? 🦕💚

How bizarre. 🌀✨
I had such a unique experience at Burning Man, and I know it might sound silly, but I’m genuinely proud of myself for making it there.
For years, I’ve been the one getting everyone else ready for the Burn. I’ve helped so many people prepare their hair, and somewhere along the way, I started dreaming about experiencing it for myself.
It was some of the hardest, most intense, challenging, and interesting days I’ve ever had. And somehow… it was also perfect.
I didn’t go to Burning Man to become someone I’m not. I went to remember who I am.
Whenever I asked my clients what Burning Man was like, they would always say, “It’s indescribable.” And honestly, I thought they were full of it. 😂
Now I get it.
There are some experiences you can’t really explain. You just have to live them.
And I’m so grateful I finally did. 🤎🏜️🌀

Tuve una experiencia tan única en Burning Man y sé que puede sonar un poco tonto, pero sinceramente estoy muy orgullosa de haberlo logrado.
Durante años, he sido la que prepara a todos los demás para el Burn. He ayudado a tantas personas a preparar su cabello y, en algún momento del camino, empecé a soñar con vivir esta experiencia por mí misma.
Fueron unos de los días más difíciles, intensos, desafiantes e interesantes que he vivido. Y de alguna manera… también fueron perfectos.
No fui a Burning Man para convertirme en alguien que no soy. Fui para recordar quién soy.
Cada vez que les preguntaba a mis clientes cómo era Burning Man, siempre me decían: “Es indescriptible”. Y, sinceramente, yo pensaba que estaban exagerando. 😂
Ahora lo entiendo.
Hay experiencias que simplemente no se pueden explicar. Tienes que vivirlas.
Y estoy tan agradecida de haberlo hecho finalmente. 🤎🏜️🌀

Being 2 in 1996

What a long strange trip its been. I’m grateful for the woman I’m becoming, even if she’s still figuring it all out along the way. 🤎 This year has taught me about growth, motherhood, love, loss, resilience, and appreciating the little moments that I used to take for granted. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, proud of the life I’m building, and so thankful for the people who make it all worth it. 🥹✨Cheers to me. 🥂✨ More life, love, adventures, and hopefully… a little more sleep. 😂🤎

Never a dull moment at the shop. Some days i wanna be a stay at home mom, then i remember how many interesting interactions ill miss and then i forget about it. I love my space and getting to know people from all walks of life. This documentary has the potential to win an Oscar.

Nunca hay un momento aburrido en el salón. Hay días en los que pienso que quisiera ser mamá de tiempo completo… pero luego me acuerdo de todas las interacciones tan interesantes que me perdería, y se me pasa. Me encanta tener mi espacio y conocer personas de todos los ámbitos de la vida.
